The sandwiches were delicious althought I hate to say it the place gets very crowded. You should go early so you can eat inside or if you are adventourous you can eat by the river or bring back to your hotel and eat by the pool. We managed to eat in and it was very quaint.

Where the residents of New Orleans shops...need I say more. Pricing lower for local spices than at the tourist shops...check it out.

I always go here before returning home to stock up on items from NOLA that I can't get at home. The employees are always helpful and friendly and the prices are what you would expect in a small grocery store. Don't leave without getting your Community Coffee, Olive Relish, and cajun mustard!

A real Aladin's Cave of both local and standard (Commercial brands) food and drinks. Considering it is right in the middle of a major tourist trap the prices were very good. Everything from fresh ingredients to prepared ready meals.

Staying in French Quarter

Neighborhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
