This place was excellent. We were looking for a rarer bourbon and they had it here. The helpful staff gave clear directions, and saved a bottle just to be sure. Once you are done looking around, there is a section at the back for wine and nibbles. Great selection and great staff. We were on Baronne though not magazine but... More

Second time in less than a week and probably won't return. Stopped in during "After Hours" on 5/26 and order a couple of salmon sandwiches -- really tasty plus a couple of glasses of the wine deal. Worked out they didn't charge us the wine deal price and boy was that hard to get sorted out. Well we were there... More

First time here. Native New Orleans critter visiting again. Stopped in for lunch and had a very pleasant experience. Nice menu with decent wines by the glass. Great dining area in a brand new building in Uptown. Oh, and BTW, their single malt scotch selections are impressive.

Uptowners welcomed reopened location last month. Perhaps half the space is now for dining. The food order que needs to be made separate from the dining area by means of some sort of partition. Dining tables need to be configured so as to look less like the refectory at Manresa. Food quality and selection seems quite good and very much... More

We went the week it opened and we're not disappointed. Great menu options and very attentive wait staff made for a great set of smiles all around with the 8 of us. Very clean and open design with ample parking totally brand new! Excellent advice on wine, spirits and beer always! Check out the new spot in the garden district!

My wife loves Voignier . She had read about a French Voignier in a magazine and found that it was offered at Martin's. We happened to be in New Orleans on a brief overnight stay and visited Martin's. They had a great selection, were very helpful, and had reasonable prices. We picked up a mixed case before hitting the road... More

Staying in Garden District

Neighborhood Profile
Garden District
Head to the Garden District for the full-on New Orleans experience replete with quaintly clanking streetcars, proudly grandiose antebellum mansions, picture perfect avenues lined with live oaks loaded down with Spanish moss, and a wealth of beautiful churches and many more architectural marvels. Even a brief excursion here makes plain why it’s called the Garden District. So, when you visit be sure to give yourself ample time for admiration at a languidly slow pace befitting such gentile strand of riverside living and to allow you to maximize each opportunity to stop and smell the roses – and whichever other blooms you might come across. While taking it all in, you’d do well to dine at one of the city’s most beloved destinations for regional cuisine. Gourmands from far and wide (and right round the corner) swear the age-old Commander’s Palace is the best restaurant in town – and have been doing so since it opened back in 1880.
