Mojitos were very strong, had fantastic fresh mint that was well muddled and tasted fantastic! The shrimp po'boy was lacking shrimp and the bread was a bit dry and not very chewy. Marinated crab claws were quite tasty.

This is my absolute go to in Nola. The food is incredible every time. Love the hole-in-the-wall feel. If there is a line, wait in it. You will not regret it.

Walked a mile and change in the rain to Coop's Place and was not disappointed. Yes, it is small and yes, you will have to wait outside. Once inside, however, this place is solid...if you can get past the sarcasm of the staff. We had fun with the attitude, which is clearly intentional and part of the vibe of Coop's,... More

This used to be a contender but not anymore!!! Paltrow ruined this place when she made them too big for their britches.

Quick bite as walking down Bourbon street. The food was good. We shared the appetizer Bayou platter (all fried) but yummy! And the crab jalapeño poppers wet good as well. Worth a stop if you are looking for a quick casual bite!

Stopped into Coops for dinner with my mother and my fiancé on the recommendation of a tour guide. The place was busy but we arrived around 5 and did not have to wait for a table (line when we left an hour later). The food was absolutly delicious. I had a delicious sausage and my mother said her fried chicken... More

This place was nothing fancy but the food and service was great. Hubby had the seafood platter and I tried the fried chicken and jambalaya dish. Both were very delicious and unable to eat all food on our plates. Also, no long wait for food after order placed. Will definitely eat here again when back in area.

Red beans and rice were great! Staff is questionable in temperment! Don't use the mayo and not too sure about the cleaning procedures.

Staying in French Quarter

Neighborhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
