We went to Tony Moran's with high expectations of the food that we've had there before. WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT. The service was okay. I got salad which was okay, friends got gumbo which they found was so salty that they couldn't enjoy it. We all ordered the Meatball(s) and spaghetti. When the meals arrived, some had one and others had... More

Got the best seats in the house! Third floor balcony. Got an amazing view of Bourbon St along with an amazing 3-course dinner! Will forever be wishing there was one closer to my town!

I spent an evening here for a business dinner and their food was amazing. Great quiet atmosphere too. It was a little pricey so be prepared to spend some money, especially if you buy wine by the bottle. Overall, I highly recommend Tony Moran's Restaurant.

Pouring rain in New Orleans so we ducked into Tony Moran's, looked nice, menu for Italian food looked good. Staff are a little cold, maybe because it was not busy, only two people there and that was us! Food was average, not real Italian which makes sense as the same kitchen puts out Creole food for the upstairs restaurant. This... More

We came to NOLA late, we came down Bourbon Street and this place was one of the only places open. We asked how long they were open, the waitress mentioned, "30 minutes." Later another group came in and she seated them without making a statement about the time. I don't understand it. In some ways, it was like they didn't... More

You think it is just another bar on Bourbon but once inside beautiful white table cloth service and balcony service. You can choose between Creole or Italian. Ask for Earl, he was wonderful.

This is right next door to the Old Absinthe Bar. As you walk down Bourbon, you think it is just another bar as you pass. They have great food and the service is usually good here. They have pasta and Italian dishes and they have New Orleans cuisine. It is a good place to eat as it is usually quiet... More

Good food, great wine selection, good service, amazing balcony overlooking Bourbon. Worth stopping in for the view of Bourbon and a way to be part of the action without being in a loud crowded environment.

We enjoyed eating on the Bourbon St. balcony. The upstairs dining room was that old French Quarter, antiquey look with an old crystal chandelier and candlelight. That room looked romantic. The food was your average Italian restaurant fare. The prices were like $22 for Chicken Alfredo with fettucine and I think $16. for Chicken Parmesan which is very reasonable for... More

Staying in French Quarter

Neighborhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
