Had a delicious meal at Tommy’s. CANDACE our waitress was wonderful! She was covering several tables and let us know there were some big groups coming in. She was anleays checking on us annd made sure we had everything we wanted. Our food came quickly...and was delicious. Had fried eggplant appetizer and a Chopped salad; veal parmigiana and veal piccata. All were delicious. They have a 50% off bottle of wine from 5:00-10:00, we selected a perfect Peju Savignon Blanc to pair with our meal. I highly recommend Tommy’s Cuisine for a great Italian meal in New Orleans. And ask for Candace, she is a super server!More

Went with others’ recommendations and got the fish capri. It was fine but we were not as impressed as we expected to be. Service was good and bread was yummy. Wish the fish came with a side of pasta instead of some broccoli

Our server, Lola, was wonderful! A good server acknowledges her customers requests even if she is very busy and Lola was a delight! The hostess that sat us was also delightful and though the main dining room was full, she walked us through a large...lounge to a very pretty back room they must be used for private events. With a large convention in town, she bent over backwards to seat us. The food was delicious from the beginning mussels appetizer to the Pompano entrees and the Rene brûlée—everything was properly prepared, plated and presented. We will be back to Tommy’s one day! .More

This place is amazing, and Laura Lee was the best. I had the gulf fish capri and a side of pasta, it was so good and flavored. We also had the spinach artichoke dip which was filled with different cheeses and so creamy and the...wine selections was so exquisite. I would highly recommend!!!More

This is a great traditional Italian restaurant. It’s is a very nice and classic setting but not pretentious. The food was all amazing and large portioned. The wine list is extensive and great choices. Our server Laura Lee was fantastic. She was very attentive and...knowledgeable of the menu. We had the spinach and artichoke dip for appetizer. Then our entrees were the filet, eggplant napoleon, chicken parmigiana, gulf fish Capri and lasagna. Everyone said they food was delicious.More

This place is great. Atmosphere is cool, service is great (Leon is the best) and the food was excellent. Well worth the trip and close to most downtown hotels.

This is a wonderful gem of restaurant! Leon was our outstanding wait person who was so attentive throughout the meal with wonderful knowledgeable recommendations. You cannot go wrong with the lasagna-best I’ve ever had! Tremendous wine list as well. Tiramisu for dessert-wow! You really can’t...go wrong at Tommy’s.More

When we first walked in the door it smelled funny, like a New Orleans sewer. We should have left then. We had reservations based on recommendations from others. We ordered house specialty drinks which were just okay. We both ordered the Veal Piccata. The pasta...had no flavor, very few capers in the dish and the veal was over cooked, and gristly. It was mediocre at best. I would never recommend or return to this restaurant again.More

Tonight, we went out to Tommy's with a cousin of my wife. Decor was nice, in a fairly romantic setting. We had Caprese Salad, which was delicious. My wife had redfish almondine, and I had the chicken parmigiana. Her cousin had the pasta primavera (off...menu, as she is a vegetarian). Everything was great. Bread pudding was a nice dessert to end the meal. One issue to report. The service was very good, except the wait staff made some errors on out orders. They made it right and took some items off the bill. Overall, an excellent dinner!More

Food was awful. Steak was raw - it was ordered medium. Potatoes and broccoli served with it were ice cold. Lasagna was not good. Temperature in restaurant was about 65 degrees - too cold to even sit there. Horrible experience.

Very poor service. Our waiter was somewhat rude, not helpful in explaining anything and never around when we needed him. He detracted from the whole experience. The food was good. Overall an average restaurant given the huge number of very good restaurants in NOLA. I...doubt we would ever return.More

Food was delicious (shrimp fra diavolo and spaghetti with meatballs). We ordered two appetizers but the entrees came so we cancelled. Server was not very attentive. It was pretty busy and extremely loud. We asked to be moved someone quieter but hostess said we would...have to wait 20 minutes so just stayed put. Had to shout at one another to hear! Cream brûlée was excellent.More

We haven’t been to this restaurant since Tommy sold it. We loved it before and really were apprehensive. Our evening started at Tommy’s bar next to the restaurant. Drinks and service were excellent. We were then seated in the restaurant and began our adventure. The...second round of drinks were actually bad. Two Manhattans had some horrid floral taste, probably a bad sweet vermouth. Another drink we ordered had that same nasty floral taste. Sent that one back. Strange that the bar next door did the drinks perfectly. Our appetizers were the baked oysters, good but not great. That is a pallet that can shine. Crispy eggplant was sadly just ordinary. Spinach and artichoke with crostini was the best of our three choices. Entrees were the gulf fish almandine… excellent. The Veal Marsala was just ok (small portion of not so tender veal). Eggplant parmigiana had generous portions and tasted great. Service by Jessica was over the top. She was truly pleasant and accommodating. Ambiance was good and prices were fair.More
