The atmosphere is very nice and comfortable. The location is great in walking distance from the convention center and the French Quarter. The service was excellent by Sergio and Lauren. The prices were fair. The food was amazing. I had the Tchoupitoulas duck which went perfectly with the Brunello di Montalcino. It was crispy and delicious. My son had the... More

I really enjoyed the atmosphere because it was classy but the staff was very warm. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. The portions were very generous and deserts were amazing!

We had a company dinner here, but you would never know that the waiters had about 30 hungry and thirsty people to feed all at once. Our whole table raved from the appetizers, to the main courses, to the service. I can't say anything about the dessert because we were too full to even think about it.

Had a group of friends in town and they wanted something authentic to New Orleans. Picked Tommy's and everyone was thrilled with the service and the food. Our waiter has been with Tommy's since day one and was at Irene's before that. I had the duck and it was perfect as usual.

Mussel marinara appetizer was very tasty. Our entree (shrimp linguini and veal picatta) were excellent although servings were quite small for the price. Our server Steve was very knowledgeable.

Entering into a nice winebar the evening gets a good start, moving into the smaller rooms for dinner where Italy makes a mark through excellent food accompanied by great "New Orelanish" service - a great Lousiana experience!

This is my 3rd visit in 3 weeks, the food and service has been excellent on each visit. Nice romantic atmosphere in a very traditional Paris style venue ( although they are an Italian restaurant) their wines where excellent. 5 stars all the way around.

My partner and I were pleased as we first walked up to the door and were greeted by Sam. His smile and warm welcome made us feel right at home. We were seated and were then greeted by Maria and then our server Robert, who reviewed the menu with us. He was very knowledgable of the food and the city.... More

We held our son's wedding rehearsal dinner here for 40 people. The atmosphere was great and the service was superb! The food was excellent. You must try the shrimp corn chowder! The staff met our every need before we even knew we had a need. I highly recommend Tommy's Cuisine for a party.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
