I know it's Halloween time but her attitude needed a disguise! Straight nasty attitude along with a chewy steak. When it was Star steak house it was terrific. Oh well. Saving my money for Chophouse from now on.

Stopped here looking somewhere away from Bourbon. They were eager to sit us and weren't busy. I assumed it was because it was only 7ish and things really hadn't started to ramp up up yet. However, the reason became clear quickly. Once the waitress came to our table, she informed us that they were not currently serving alcohol. We were... More

Our waiter, Jason, was so friendly and helpful! I got the chicken decanter and my husband got the chicken sandwich; both ate great choices!

We stopped into this cozy restaurant which served a delicious breakfast (All American Platter & Western Omelette) and coffee! The owner, Amer, was very attentive and was a pleasure to talk to.

My husband and I purchased a Groupon one weekend when we were in the city, and we really enjoyed our dinner here! It's a very small place but it's very relaxing and delicious! There was also live music.

My wife and I went to NOLA for the first time 12 years ago and have been back at least once a year every year since. We have eaten here every time. I feel that if someone asked where to go for a steak in NOLA,I would have no choice but to tell them Star.

This restaurant was recommended by friends and since we were on Decatur and in the mood for steak we gave it a try. The menu prices are very high, so I'm glad we chose the evenings special (sirloin with bbq shrimp and baked potato). The food was while not bad, just not impressive. We were the only guests in the... I had fried shrimps and my husband had the cheeseburger. Would have had better burger from Burger King, and quarter of the price. Shrimps were drowned in batter and served with bread and fries. All three components tasted the same. And the restaurant doesn't have liqour license so we bougt some beers next door and drank them from plastic mugs.... More

If you want great seafood, definitely give this place a try. We enjoyed it so much we actually thought about going back the following evening, but we opted for a different restaurant. The catfish, shrimp and oysters are superb. This place doesn't disappoint.

Staying in French Quarter

Neighborhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
