Gumbo was great; calamari had a wonderful taste; seafood well prepared; service unparalleled; just across the street from the Hotel Montlemone; reservations suggested.

Excellent wait staff and service, outstanding food. My wife had shrimp and I had rabbit, both delicious. Waiter was very attentive, informative and helpful with meal selection. Enjoyable experience in every way.

Our recent trip to NOLA left me with the feeling that locals don't care for visitors much any more. My first visit to the city was in 1990 and have had several amazing trips since. This time was different and it was most obvious in wait service. Hands down, Mr. B's Bistro is the best Bar-B-Que shrimp in the Quarter.... More

When you first arrive this is a must stop for there BBQ shrimp. They are served with the heads still attached but easily removed. They are served in a bowl with the lovely BBQ spice and plenty of bread for dipping. Don't get too filled up because you need to try the other amazing spots in New Orleans

Had Sunday brunch here and it did not disappoint. The shrimp & grits, steak & eggs and bread pudding were all wonderful. Bloody Mary's we're just okay. Not a very big drink, and they bring you the hot sauce and horseradish to complete it yourself. Would go again

We stopped in for lunch and were so happy we did. We had heard good things about Mr. B's but seeing/tasting for yourself is believing! The service was very friendly and accommodating while efficient at the same time. This was one place where we felt being a tourist was not a detriment, as opposed to some places who seem to... More

We ate at Mr B's on a Saturday night to celebrate 40 years of marriage. Everything was perfect. Balloons on the table when we arrived. Food and service were excellent. Great location in the French Quarter. Highly recommended for any occasion.

The three types of gumbo appetizer gives one an instant "how to be a New Orleanian " experience. Consistent with the Brennan brand, this locally owned and operated restaurant consistently provides French creole cooking done right. The service is excellent. The ambiance is wonderful.

Staying in French Quarter

Neighborhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
