The atmosphere was electric had to wait to get a table, went in as it seemed popular. Ordered prawn as an appetiser it was very good recommend it. From there it went downhill. Waited patiently as being a Saturday expected a wait. Steak knives went down after 10 minutes and waited in anticipation for the filet to arrive. People came... More

I enjoyed my meal and the food wasn't overly seasoned and the service was excellent. I would go back again.

My bf and I stopped in for lunch yesterday and had the BEST meal and service of our entire stay in the French Quarter. I had the seafood gumbo and he had the Ya Ya gumbo and both were divine. We also shared a crabcake and were so impressed by the quality of the food. The gumbo was, by far,... More

We had a family dinner there. Had to order a table beforehand as the place is usually packed. Very good service. We had scallops, shrimps and steaks, everything was delicious!

Been to Mr. B's several times, but this time they cared more about turning the tables. If we did not slow down our eating we would have been in and out in under 45 minutes. Not what we were looking for for "fine dining". We ordered the gumbo and is was cold. Fish was good, but put on the table... More

Pretty nice restaurant with it's appealing decor and French Quarter location. But where is the exceptional ism of the NOLA food? Had a traditional turkey dinner on Thanksgiving. OK but not exceptional. Returned the following Monday to try a filet mignon. (no other steak choice on menu) It was tasteless and borderline bad tasting. Normally I would have sent it... More

My wife and I were told by locals to be sure to check out Mr. B's for dinner. We were not disappointed! This is more of an "upscale" place, and we were slightly under dressed, but we were welcomed with open arms! The service was spectacular, the food - from the fresh bread, to the appetizers, to the main course... More

We were given this restaurant as a choice by our concierge. The food was exceptional BUT when we went to check in..the gal at the hostess stand was so standoffish to put it nicely. it was like she was doing us a favor to get us a table. I actually waited at the bar for 15 minutes for a bartender... More

Staying in French Quarter

Neighborhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
