Went for late lunch - visit New Orleans once a year from Indiana and started going to Katie’s two years ago and now a must visit when we are there - onion rings and shrimp and oyster Po boy the best!!! This year we tried...seafood beignets YUMMY!!! My husband had the catfish over potato salad which seems odd but my husband says is ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!!!!More
My server Katie was pleasant, I'm a tourist visiting the area . I got the grilled chicken , mash p's and veggie melody. The mash p's was food for the soul. I wanted more of them. The atmosphere was laid back. They allowed me to...sample the catfish , but I wasn't as impressed. But it was okay!!!! The food display was beautiful . Those mashed potatoes were dam good. My family of 4 came very hungry and had the 2 different flat breads. The smaller more expensive one $20 was perfect size with crab and cheese, but lacked some flavor. The larger one $16 was filled with pulled pork, spinach, cheese and yummy whole...roasted garlic cloves!! My daughter had the pick your own pasta with the Marsala sauce & LOVED it, while my husband had the grilled catfish, which was excellent! The strawberry cucumber lemon martini was “unbelievable!”More
Went for lunch Friday. Sat outside and had 1lb of boiled shrimp and a blackened flounder sandwich. My wife had chicken fried chicken. Poor choice in a seafood restaurant but that's what she likes. It was all a little pricey but in line with other...tourist spots along the wharf. Service was good. Food came out quick. Shrimp we're undercooked, fish was overcooked and chicken was tasteless. Again it's more tourist ambiance than quality and I wasn't going to say anything, but one of the staff came over and asked why I wasn't eating my shrimp. I told her it was undercooked and shortly afterwards a manger showed up. When I couldn't be persuaded to eat more food, I suggested he could pay for a beer. He declined. Bill comes, nothing comped and I'll never return. I wasn't even going to say anything but the manager's response drove this review Lots of much better options. Fish/Seafood isn't that hard to cook in the first place but for a seafood house. c'mon man ! Manager and food get a failing grade. I won't be backMore
The Staff was AWESOME and very professional. The food was on point. I had the mushroom burger and my wife had the shrimp poboy. They were both very tasty. Katie's was one of the restaurants that were on my MUST EAT AT list. Now it's...on my must eat at AGAIN list. Saw so many things on the menu that I would LOVE to try. See you soon Katie's Restaurant.More
Amazing staff & good Sunday brunch on the Way to the airport Thanks Billy & Jimmy Can’t wait to return
I love Katie's. Have been coming here for a couple years now and it has always been a place that comes to mind anytime I'm back in New Orleans. They have a little something for everyone. The Oysters Slessinger are absolutely to die for! They...always come out hot with the cheese bubbling and a flavor combination like no other. If I'm not careful, I could fill up on these alone. Trust me... order the full dozen!! I also love a good Cuban and they are sometimes hard to find. Katie's cajun cuban is a delight! The cochon de lait makes it tradional with a New Orleans kick! So good and makes my mouth water just thinking about it! You will not be disappointed by anything that you order. Even the basic burger is tasty and well delivered with a side of sweet potato fries. Will continue to come back!!!More
Originally we were suppose to go to Dragos but they were closed due to covid I'm assuming. The appetizer we got were the Chargrilled Oysters and 5 out of the dozen were burnt. I told the waiter and he replaced 4 of them. Two of...them were also burnt. I let it go at that point. The ones that weren't burnt were just ok some of them were gritty(yuck)and super small. I wont be back for them. The house salad was good. You can't really mess up a house salad unless you use not so fresh items. The Seafood Platter was huge but only had one piece of burnt fish and you could taste the burnt grease. The Shrimp, Crawfish, and Oysters were tasty. I didn't care for the softshell Crab either cuz it was overcooked. Service was just ok! If I go there again I will try the Stuffed Mushrooms and the Seafood Beignets.More
A New Orleans institution with an extensive menu that has everything from pizza to traditional dishes. Very family friendly atmosphere. IMO they have the best chargrilled oysters around. I also love the eggplant fries and my family loves the crab flatbread. Entrees have a design...your own pasta dish : we all had tasty choices. Don’t miss the frozen rose, especially on a hot day .More
