Juan's quickly became our favorite Mexican place in NOLA after having tried several. The prices are great for the quality and quantity of food. The seasonings are perfect there are lots of options. Love the shrimp quesadilla, fish tacos, and pork & slaw tacos. My husband swears by the signature Flying Burrito. We have tried 3 locations and Magazine St.... More

I dined here twice on my trip to New Orleans. Great food, large portions, great service! You can't go wrong! I highly recommend this place.

Went late at night. Food average. Rice burnt. Wait staff good. Going to the ladies room gave us a view of the kitchen- disgusting. We passed the garbage and the smell made me almost throw up. Bad placement.

This wasn't far from where we were staying so went to check it out. The food is great, as is the choice of beers! I'd go there when very hungry as the portions are pretty big. Great burritos and enchiladas plus the spicy corn was superb. As an informal, local place, it is highly recommended.

We went on New Years Day. The food was great and the perfect hangover cure for my partner. The tacos were fab and they were great for gluten free. The banh mi taco was one of the best I have ever had - marrying my two favourite cuisines (mexican and vietnamese). The bacon bean dip was also amazing. Would definitely... More

On a recent trip to New Orleans we stopped in here for lunch. The food was quick and delicious, and the prices were very reasonable. We had quesadillas, chicken and tofu, and they were very generous sizes. Our server was polite and efficient, not overly friendly, but certainly not rude or abrupt. I would definitely recommend this place for a... More

Maybe I ordered the wrong thing, but my burrito was small. It was tastey but small. They were also cranking thrash metal at noon. I guess for the tattoo crowd that's popular.

The food was okay but the service was terrible. It wasn't very crowded but still took for ever to get our food and it was almost meatless fajitas.

We enjoyed our meal at Juan's. This place is busy all of the time, so service can be a bit uneven. We were gruffly handled by the host when we first arrived, but our server was quite friendly and efficient. The tacos were outstanding. The margarita's were not as outstanding as other reviewers described. So, dine her with high expectations... More

Staying in Garden District

Neighborhood Profile
Garden District
Head to the Garden District for the full-on New Orleans experience replete with quaintly clanking streetcars, proudly grandiose antebellum mansions, picture perfect avenues lined with live oaks loaded down with Spanish moss, and a wealth of beautiful churches and many more architectural marvels. Even a brief excursion here makes plain why it’s called the Garden District. So, when you visit be sure to give yourself ample time for admiration at a languidly slow pace befitting such gentile strand of riverside living and to allow you to maximize each opportunity to stop and smell the roses – and whichever other blooms you might come across. While taking it all in, you’d do well to dine at one of the city’s most beloved destinations for regional cuisine. Gourmands from far and wide (and right round the corner) swear the age-old Commander’s Palace is the best restaurant in town – and have been doing so since it opened back in 1880.
