When I lived off Esplanade Ave. back in the mid 90's, this was the place to be. It was BYOW, and Angel had the food and energy to keep you at your table all night long. Not much has changed since then. You can buy wine now, and the corkage fee hasn't increased by much ($7). I don't get there... More

Great food. Authentic, fresh and a lot of it. The restaurant was smaller than I expected but I went at an off peak hour so I was seated immediately. I will definitely return but will probably call for a reservation.

Went to Lola's to eat Paella. Good but better with evenly warmed up food. Part of the food was cold. Expected more sea food with the Spanish rice. We were accomodated quickly even without a reservation.

Stopped in at this small, quaint, Spanish, neighborhood restaurant for some of their delicious, homemade red sangria & Andalusian gazpacho. Delicious! Spanish paella looked wonderful, but I will have to save that for another visit. Lola's is relaxed & laid back, but very nice with white linen tablecloths & napkins. They don't take reservations & the dining area is very,... More

I am generally more excited to try new places when I get out of town than to revisit restaurants, so this was an exception for me- we planned a day of our trip around another visit to Lola's. Delicious spanish food in a tiny restaurant surrounded by typical local art. Try the fideua (sp?), and the veggie special (both times... More

We started with the garlic shrimp and garlic mushrooms. Delish!!!! Then shared the seafood paella, trout and garlic chicken. The food is outstanding and presentation was beautiful. All with yummy sangria. Absolutely will be back!!!!

A little bodega on Esplanade that has been a great staple for all these years. At first we would go for the Paella, delicious and plentiful. Now I go for the duck with the fig reduction sauce.Their Fresh salads are also enticing. A small place so they fill up quickly but worth the wait.

What a great find! Best meal we've had in NOLA. Starters included garlic shrimp and tapa of the day, garlic Brussels sprouts. Both were great. Entrees included garlic chicken, trout, and shrimp pasta. Amazing. Warm and very attentive service. Reasonable prices. Dinner for 3 adults was about $100.00 which, for what we had, was very fair.

We waited for half an hour outside with our baby grandson. The outside area was comfortable to sit and drink wine and sangria while we waited. We were treated to wonderful food Our family group of 4 plus baby fit tightly in the window area. Our waitress was delightful. We selected a good variety - Garlic shrimp. Mariscos, vegetarian paellas, combination... More

small place, but that's fine, they are quick without feeling rushed. The paella is the best in the south. The preparation is a little different than in Spain where I enjoyed most on mine with a slight caramelizing on top. This coupled with a couple of glasses of Albarino and I was good to go
