If you want a great dinner in the Omni Royal, I suggest the Rib Room. The restaurant is outstanding both for its food, service and surroundings and not overpriced for the quality. There is a full bar. Try the prime rib, the specialty of the...house. It is outstanding! Finish your meal off with the bourbon bread pudding. The best I have ever had. Breakfast & lunch is also available. Highly recommendedMore

RICHENEL, our waiter, was amazing! He is very charismatic and personable. His suggestions were appreciated as they completed well to our food. Great experience and a really nice date night! Thank you RICHENEL!

I had a breakfast at the Rib Room on 3/24/21. My yogurt/berry parfait was an old frozen product and did not go well with my stomach. The same order at Two Sisters on the next day was fresh and two heads above this "airport" quality...meal at the Rib Room.More

Best prime rib I've had in years. Also, I think they have the best turtle soup in the city! We really liked the service and the atmosphere. This is fun place.

I usually tried and not write bad reviews to a restaurant but today I was really disappointed. On the plus side my wife and I both around the going Kemo for cancer and cannot have great appetites and we did share prime rib without a...plate charge and that was definitely a plus. The prime rib was good but did have quite a bit of fat but I understand sometimes the cut is what it is, the loaded mashed potatoes was at best lukewarm and was somewhat Bland but was offered I'd half the a la carte price. I did order half bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon at $18 and the waitress came back said they didn't have it but offered me the same wine by the glass for $14 per glass and did not order any. My daughter-in-law ordered the filet medium and came out very rare. Again are potatoes were lukewarm if that. Very disappointing meal.More

Solo diner. 30 minutes to get my Old Fashioned. 45 for chef’s special pastrami appetizer that literally could not be cut with the table knife. Little flavor....chew chew chew chew. ... spit it out. Waitress apologized took it off the bill. Wine was brought. Nice...middle market Malbec....it wasn’t just room temp it was warm to the touch. They chilled it down....and it was the highlight of the meal. My prime rib took almost 90 minutes to reach the table It was tasteless & cold. The au-jus was warmish...but that didn't help the beef. The mashed potatoes....warm on the crust that had formed from being under the warmer, but cold on the inside. The kitchen has lost all direction here....the waitress and manager did not charge me for my meal. I also order their drum fish to go for my bride back in our room Upon opening the container back in the room the fish smell was overwhelming. This was hardly fresh...it simply stunk. I should have gone back to the Rib Room with her fish, but it was already a sinking ship. I’ll cut this short... this used to be a go to restaurant in town for prime rib.....I’d detour quickly somewhere else...More

I called to make a reservation for a table on Friday. The restaurant is now open Thursday through Saturday for lunch. I was told that a message was sent to the restaurant manager who would call to confirm. When I received no call by Thursday,...I called. They told me that they were sold out for lunch on Friday and didn't even take my name because the manager would have called me if I had a reservation. They said that there was no possibility that they made the reservation if the restaurant manger never called back.More

Well, their menu does not match their website. If you are not going to post your menu at your door, where you normally do, then at least make it correct on your website. We arrived expecting to pay $31 for salad and baked potato and...prime rib, (From their website, “All house cut steaks and cuts of prime rib include a Rib Room salad and a loaded baked potato”), only to find out that it was an a la carte menu. OK. So now we’re paying $34 for prime rib, plus $9 for a salad and no baked potato. I understand that they are just re-opening, but don’t false advertise on your website. They also advertise on their website that they have $2 Washbucket martinis. Their Facebook page implies that you get whatever kind of martini you want. However, we were just asked if we wanted gin or vodka and not given any other choices. We each ordered a martini at the beginning of our meal and were never offered another. When we asked for another martini, we were told that the martini lady had left for the day and they would see if they could get us another drink. They brought each of us back a single martini. I get it, a two dollar single martini is great, but it’s not what they advertise. As these restaurants are re-opening, we understand that we will have a limited choices, etc., but please don’t false advertise. We are happy to tip generously and spend our money in our local restaurants, but we don’t want to be deceived going in. And, our server had a facemask, but only covered their mouth. They need to cover their nose and mouth to help prevent the spread of the virus. And, we saw diners coming and going from the restaurant with no face masks at all. We thought the French quarter required all guests to have a mask to enter and move about the Restaurant, only taking off their masks at their table.More

I went with a group of 5 to the bar on March 16 which was a Sunday night. New Orleans moved last call at all bars to 11:15am to help combat the COVID virus. The bar was not full, we were not being loud or...raucous, two in our group were staying at the Omni and we each had 2 drinks apiece. One of my friends signaled to the bartender around 10:30pm to ask for the bill. As the bartender was approaching, my friend asked me if I was still waiting on a drink or if I wanted anything else. Out of nowhere the bartender started yelling in the most rude way possible not to bother him and that we were ordering drinks with egg whites so it was taking longer. He seemed pissed off that he was having to mix cocktails rather than just pouring beers (most of our group was in fact drinking beer). When my friend said he just wanted the bill, the bartender then slammed it down in an aggressive way and walked away without saying a word. I understand everyone is stressed with the pandemic going on, but treating customers like that in a high end establishment is inexcusable. It is a pity as the drinks were good, and the atmosphere at the bar was nice otherwise. This man's behavior was completely unacceptable.. There is no excuse...More

If you want delicious prime rib, you will find it here! This was our last meal before leaving Mardi Gras weekend and we wanted something stately. The restaurant hit every mark - great decor, fantastic service and a great meal. My husband ordered the King...cut with the bone and finished it all!!! It came with a salad and baked potato. We asked that all dressings and toppings be put on the side so we could manage ourselves and they accommodated. Special thanks to our waiter “Rich” who was super friendly, sharing life experience and historic flavor through the meal, making the experience even more enjoyable. I hadn’t had a po’ boy as yet on this trip so I went with the shrimp. It was quite abundant and very good. We always order espresso - this happened to be delicious. Rib room gets high marks from us.More

A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living
lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty

around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively
well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the
