We had dinner here twice & also the weekend brunch and were well satisfied. In addition to the Fried Green Tomato Breakfast, our dishes were gumbo, red bean gumbo, fried catfish, stuffed peppers, chicken fried chicken – all were good. I liked the casual atmosphere. Service was good. Alcohol isn’t served but you can BYO with no corkage charge. I... More

I had the crawfish etouffee, but I was also able to sample the stuffed peppers, and traditional breakfast. All were cooked to perfection and extremely flavorful. The menu appears to change, but dont let that deter you!

Since moving back home 3 years ago, i have been here 4 times. The first 2 were great. Polite staff and good food. The last 2 visits revealed a place that has dropped in food quality and to a lesser degree service. Although, never try to get seated within 30 minutes of closing, you are informed that they are closing from... More

The founder of this restaurant apparently set out with the goal of creating a homey, unpretentious menu with good flavor, and he succeeded. The blackened catfish sandwich was particularly good, best finished with a piece of buttermilk chocolate pie (the top layer is buttermilk, sitting on a slab of chocolate). The building is very charming and a lovely place to... More

Breakfast is only served here on Saturday and Sunday, and I say, what a shame! From the first sip of excellent coffee to the best fried green tomatoes we ever ate, it was first rate. A nice cozy restaurant, white tablecloths, classy New Orleans jazz playing in the background, great service. The only reason we did not return for dinner: they... More

We tried this place because the write-ups seemed too good to pass it up. Our experience was not as good as some of the others reviewing on this site. Our server was not familiar with the dishes and could not explain what they were or how they were prepared. The Blue Cheese and Fig Torte was too large to be... More

We had a delightful breakfast. Eat is a bit off the beaten path which is a good thing in the French Quarter. Clientele appears to be a mix of locals and visitors. Servers were great except for an Asian man who was greeting customers--he was a bit surly!

I chose this restaurant because it received the highest ratings, but I was not as impressed. Classics such as crawfish etoufee and shrimp and crab were not the best. I understand that the chef wants to put a signature style to the food, but I've had better. One son is a bit picky with food, so we were happy to... More

Stumbled across this by accident and would up having breakfast there twice - unusual for us. Very nice breakfast selection, fun servers, no corking fee for champagne we brought . Unfortunately we were unable to have dinner there but would certainly try it the next time we are in NOLA

Thank jocko

Staying in French Quarter

Neighborhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
