We had a wonderful experience. Ask for the Windsor Court salad which is off menu! It is terrific & the dressing is perfect. Our redfish & scallops were cooked to perfection. The palette cleansers were culinary art. The yogurt soufflé cheesecake was so original . Definitely worth a dining experience for a couple or special family celebration.

Food is pretty good, the service is so-so, and the ambiance just isn't the same as the original Camellia Grill.

A wonderful selection of epicurean delights cooked to perfect perfection. A delightful surprise and every bite. There were so many wonderful meals to choose from that we decided to grab for a 5 different appetizers to sample. Honestly, I couldn't tell you which is my favorite as they were all unbelievably tasteful. And if you've never had a cotton candy... More

Been staying at Windsor Court since 1984. The food in the Grill Room is the best it has ever been and now is consistently five star service and good. Perfect in every way. Supper is a bit more extensive than lunch which is a very good deal and very tasty. FYI- the cheeseburger with bacon is best in New Orleans.

We had a marvelous lunch for under $20 p/p during their plate lunch special. Beautiful atmosphere, delicious food (sweet potato soup great), and good service (if you're not in a hurry).

While vacationing in New Orleans, it is a great idea to go to the Grill Room. In a very comfortable setting and semi casual atmosphere, you can get a very formal dinner for a moderate price. The deal they were featuring an entree and three side dishes with a sorbet dessert. The quail and fish dishes are outstanding and all... More

Lamb was absolutely perfect! Until my experience at The Grill Room my best lamb dish was in Ecuador and this gave it a run for it's money. Classy dining experience, great flavour, good pairings. Very attentive servers who worked as a team and really explained the meal.

I first visited The Grill Room for my 21st birthday. I don't remember much about that experience, as I wasn't the food/restaurant lover that I am now. I was excited to return for a Coolinary lunch. Everything about The Grill Room is elegant: people dressing up for lunch, the white table cloths, the view, the wait staff- perfect. They opened... More

We had the 1984 lunch where you receive an entree, three sides and sorbet. More than enough food and service was good. Most of the dishes were very delicious - loved the crab cake and roasted brussel sprouts. The salad and gumbo were not perfect but the atmosphere was very nice and calming and the waiters were nice. We would... More

The food and service was outstanding. We had lunch on the first day and my husband returned for lunch the second day while I was in meetings.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
