Quite a wait to get a table before we tried a few of the local delicacies, charbroiled oysters, oysters natural followed by the shrimp/scallop bowl for me and the veal/crab for my friend. All the dishes were fresh/tasty and served quickly. We followed up with...More

We walked in off of the street in the French Quarter and pleasantly surprised to find a super seafood restaurant with excellent service. The salmon was cooked perfectly and the cheese platter was superb. Also had great creme brulee'.

Every time I visit New Orleans a visit to Dickey Brennan's Bourbon House Oyster bar is my go to place for lunch or dinner. Their bourbon shrimp poboys at French Quarter Fest can only be followed up by a visit to their restaurant. This year...More

Trying to find a place to dine on a busy night we happened in this restaurant and were seated immediately. A lively dining room although it got quite noisy as the place filled up. The three of us were pleased with our choices. Catfish platter,...More

We were planning to go to Acme, but the line was too long, so we ducked into the Bourbon House instead. Their oysters were just as good as Acme's (we went there later in the week), although the amount of butter/cheese sauce was less at...More

Had dinner here on the recommendation of a friend. We ordered the combination seafood platter and the crab crusted fish. Both entrees were pretty phenomenal. The cocktail sauce had great kick and rich flavor. None of the seafood was overly breaded. The seasoning had a...More

Great local food options, in a relaxed but slightly upscale environment, with a fantastic bourbon selection. Don't be afraid to ask for a bourbon off the extensive menu if you don't see it. For the adventurous diners, the Alligator Boudin were delicious. Catfish Pecan, and...More

My family and I ate here on Easter Sunday. It was very busy and reservations are accepted and recommended. The dining room has a very high ceiling and a 2nd floor balcony was visible, but did not seem to have anyone seated there. This restaurant...More

The food here was good but nothing outstanding about it. The service was friendly and our meal came in a good amount of time, it just wasn't our favorite dishes we experienced.

Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other
parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title
might suggest that this area is all about business and
little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you
away from the Central Business District. The CBD
offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be
touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the
world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts
