Actually, I should say, the ferry ride is a wonderful addition to getting to this restaurant from the French Quarter -- and if you need NOPD logo goods (New Orleans Police Department), there is a vending machine in the ferry terminal. But lets get to...More

Had some local knowledge to find this little gem. The service was a bit slower but the food was incredible. Definitely worth the extra trip out this way.

If you are looking for a short break from all the excitement of the French Quarter, grab the ferry to Algiers, and have a beer and a bite to eat. It is a local place, people are friendly..

Visiting New Orleans, and staying in Algiers Point, we found this cool little bar and cafe just a stone's throw from our digs. It's right across from the ferry station, so it's a convenient joint for anyone to visit from either side of the river....More

I eat at this little place every time I come to New Orleans. It is a sweet secret, tucked way on Algiers Point, near the ferry landing. It offers really authentic New Orleans atmosphere and food. I usually order the same thing every time: the...More

After a nice short ferry ride from downtown Dry Dock Café is the first restaurant you see upon arrival. We were hungry so just took a chance without reading any prior reviews. Sat at the bar and were warmly greeted by the bartender, Lara. We...More

Sitting pretty across the Mississippi River from the
rambunctious French Quarter, the Crescent City’s
second oldest neighborhood is as historic and as
scenic as any – just a lot less showy about it. With
its numerous 19th and early 20th century homes and
plentiful parks and riverside green space for cycling
and walking, subdued and low key Algiers yields the
best views of New Orleans and offers a quiet haven

from what I understand they do not sell ribeyes at all. Reason being I asked them because I thought I smelled a very good steak on another table but when asked, I was informed it's not on menu.
