The seafood is great and they take reservations. The bar is very nice with a great cocktail menu, some very unusual offerings. Servings are large.

We went in for lunch on a somewhat rainy Saturday afternoon. The place was packed, and we were lucky to find a spot at the bar. We could tell by watching the action that it was a very well run establishment. After a short wait we were seated, and everything we ate was really, really good. Service was spot on,... More

Meal was excellent as was dessert. Service started out on the bad side but servers switched and we ended up with an excellent server. We shared several small plates, entrees and desserts. Tried smoked tuna dip (very good), fettuccine with ground shrimp (amazing - a must get but very spicy) and shrimp bisque (not my favorite). Then shrimp with brown... More

We shared small plates and sampled most sections of the menu, although we avoided the raw bar. Everything was good, the service was attentive and we enjoyed the evening. I would definitely go back again.

People dig this place because its aesthetic, I think. I've eaten here twice and I'm not very impressed. The food isn't bad by any stretch of the imagination, but it isn't great. The prices aren't necessarily high, but they aren't competitive either. The atmosphere is nice, and the servers are nice enough. I don't know, just felt pretty middle of... More

We had dinner there on a recommendation from a friend that is a chef. Everything we ate was declious, the fried bread was very tasty, the small plates were also very delicious. Two of us had the stuffed chicken with sweet potatoes, not a bite left on any the plate. The shrimp dinner with brown rice was also delicious. I... More

They got me in quickly despite not having a reservation and being very full. Waiter was helpful and nice. Food was delicious and perfectly cooked. Had the chicken with white BBQ, grilled tuna, and salted caramel cake. Chicken made you want to lick the plate. The tuna, oh man, tasted amazing, and how they cooked those greens, I have no... More

Peche Seafood Grill. In French, "peche" means "catch."
Inspired by trips to Spain and Uruguay, Peche will focus on seafood cooked over an open wood fire. Diners can watch as the seafood, along with meats and vegetables, cooks over the flames. The dishes, though, will still be rooted in Louisiana.
The restaurant is a partnership between chefs Donald Link (Herbsaint, Cochon), Stephen Stryjewski (Cochon) and Ryan Prewitt, although Prewitt will have primary authority over the new kitchen.
Housed in a restored 19th-century building, Peche will share the modern aesthetic of Cochon. According to the Link Restaurant Group, the restaurant will have "high, pickled-wood ceilings; large, soaring windows; a thick-topped Cypress bar; and a marble top oyster bar."

Staying in Arts District / Warehouse District

Neighborhood Profile
Arts District / Warehouse District
Once a thriving industrial zone, today this district is home to a buzzing arts scene with an amazing assortment of galleries, boutiques, and studios having moved in and set up shop throughout the disused warehouses for which the area is so well known. Much of the art you'll come across here is local in scope, ownership and inspiration. However, among the many old brick warehouses are modern structures of steel and glass housing large-scale cultural institutions of national prominence such as the National World War II Museum, the Contemporary Arts Center, and the Ogden Museum of Southern Art. Just as eye catching as what’s on view inside the galleries and museums is the chance to see your ship come in at the Julia Street Cruise Terminal, which serves as a wistful reminder of the city’s historic maritime prominence.
