We just arrived in New Orleans and decided to try this restaurant out. It is in a small strip mall, but don't let that dissuade you. Food was very good and the menu items were all under $10.00. The staff was very friendly and gave...good recommendations. I wish this place every was close to home!More
Did lunch at Ba Mien yesterday. I had the Pho Tai Chin and Vietnamese Eggrolls. Both were delicious. The pho was standard with fresh basil, bean sprouts, noodles, shank steak and eye round. The eggrolls and dipping sauce were also delicious. This was a great...Vietnamese meal.More
We visited this place yesterday. The foods were bad taste and expensive compared to other restaurant in the area. Pho for kid costs $4.50 but contains only some kind of noodle and soup, no meat. What do they think that pho for kid should really...look like without some beef?
We were so disappointed with their hot pot. Actually they do not know what the hot pot is. The way they cook is just like a bowl of sour soup, not a real hot pot. I recommend you visit Hoa Hong 9 restaurant in the nearby area.More
Ba Mien is a nice, clean, and simply decorated restaurant in a strip mall on U.S. Highway 90. It looks to be a popular lunch spot for the nearby Vietnamese neighborhood and local refineries and factories. Service was not the greatest- friendly, but not very...attentive. We had the spring rolls with peanut sauce for an appetizer, and they were big and full and delicious. My daughter had the vermicelli with grilled shrimp. She said it was very good. My meal, Sesame Beef with fried rice and a small egg roll, was very good. It was hot, the sauce was rich and dark, and the rice was well seasoned. The roll was crunchy and really nice when I poured in some soy sauce. The total (after tax & tip) was $23.00. I would recommend it and would go again. RJTMore
This is one of the best Vietnamese restaurants in New Orleans. The food is awesome, not too pricey (less than $10) and the people are very friendly. We eat here for lunch at least once of week and it is always great. You can't go...wrong with the Pho Tai (Beef Noodle Soup) and the Vermicelli with Shrimp! Don't forget the spring rolls!More
My husband and I really enjoyed this resturant, my husband continued to compliment throughout the entire meal. The portions were huge, but the best thing about the resturant is the locals were there for lunch. You can never go wrong with eating where the local...are!More
