Had a great lunch here. The staff was attentive, the food was really good (and something for everyone, too!) and the place was light and airy. Love the concept of giving back to the community, as well!

Such a positive and wonderful experience I had enjoying a fried crawfish salad with the smiling and friendly service of these kids who are being given an opportunity to find life off the streets.I suggest coming and supporting this wonderful organization and enjoying a delicious, home-cooked lunch as well!

Went to Cafe Reconcile with family. The food was off the charts good. The environment is nice. The neighborhood is much better than years ago, and parking is available. The bread pudding/bananas foster is out of this world. It is nice to know that as you dine you are helping at risk kids get an education and make life better... More

I'm in love with their bread pudding. I've tried many all over New Orleans and theirs tops them all. The rest of the menu is good too. Not overly fancy but tasty.

Cafe Reconcile is a weekday lunch-only place so it's taken me a few years to eat here on New Orleans trips. I had read about their mission to train at-risk youth for jobs in the food industry so I made it a point to have lunch on this visit. I had a small table with many community activists dining at... All of the food we had here was really cheap and absolutely delicious. The waiter was a sweetheart too. And it was all for a good cause to help inner city youths find a job. Fantastic.

Monday is red beans and rice day in NOLA, and I had mine at Cafe Reconcile, a nonprofit started by chefs for at risk youth ages 16-22. It is a clean, cheery cafe, just a block from the Southern Food and Beverage museum so you can go there in the morning to whet your appetite, or after lunch to walk... More

We stopped by for some Fried Chicken, Corn Bread, and gumbo. The food was delicious, and the service was too notch. Most of all, I am happy to support such a good cause in such an up and coming Neighborhood. We hope to see the Oretha Castle Haley Corridor blossom and with restaurants like Cafe Reconcile things are only looking... More

This place helps rescue and train disenfranchised youth, so both food and goal are comforting. The food is soulful down-home Southern, and the wait staff is friendly and mostly cheerful. Granted the food can be hit or miss, but not so much that you won't want to come back. Another plus is that it's off-the-beaten-track, meaning it's never overrun by... More

We were staying just down the street so we decided to have lunch there. Excellent cat fish. The wait staff were just so sweet and friendly. Our waiter was Maleek, and he definently has a future in the food service industry. All of the staff there were so "Nawlins" friendly and working for such a good cause. I would say... More
