We were excited to try Antoine's after seeing it on "Sunday Morning". We had the special 2016 and the food was wonderful. If only we could say the same about the service...unfriendly and slow. We finished dessert and waited almost half an hour for our waitress to bring our check. Finally asked another waiter to find her, and was told... More

Can you remember when folks dressed to go to dinner and your waiter was a true professional who delivered your meal with the finesse of a symphony conductor? Even if you cannot recall, no worries......just go experience the magic at Antoine's. Our meal exceeded my expectations, as the food was delicious, served flawlessly by Austin and Spencer. Austin's knowledge of... More

We had such a lovely dinner and here's why: outstanding service from Vinny and Anthony and not a single wrong note from the kitchen. Vinny was so friendly, explaining the history of the place and making food suggestions that were spot on. He suggested the 2-2-2 oysters, which was a sampler of the oysters. Loved it. We discussed fish and... More

I dined there twice this week for their summer lunch special. The food is good and features regional specialty dishes. The 75 cent martini's are a nice touch - very sweet like drinking lemonade with low alcohol content but how can one complain The service is excellent with old world charm. The ambience is elegant. The real star here is... More

Average food. Service is ok, they are trying but just not quite to the level of a nice restaurant they are trying to be. Staff is friendly but poorly trained and not very attentive or well mannered. Unfortunately food is well below what the hype suggests. Just average quality and below average presentation. Might be ok for an average first... More

Went to Antoine's after reading the reviews on tripadvisor.. Service was great however I def was disappointed by the food. Nothing special and definitely overpriced compared to other very nice restaurants in the French quarter. Good selection of wines though.

Antione's was participating in a special prix fixe menu form summer offering a 3-course meal for $20.16. This was possibly one of the best deals in the city. We had an amazing lunch (no dress code required) and it was worth every penny. Our server was perfect and our food was delicious. I think this was the best meal we... More

Very upper class. Make sure you "dress" for dinner. Place very elegant, staff friendly and knowledgeable, food was very good and very"New Orleans" . Gumbo and shrimp and grits was delicious and other dishes looked good too. Friends were impressed too with all of the above. Servings were worth the price.

This is a lovely restaurant with a rich history and very knowledgeable staff. Service is fast paced and we were served quickly by a very nice team. Our dinner wasn't anything to write home about but the historical experience made it a very worthwhile visit. I would love to return with a group of friends and book one of the... More

Staying in French Quarter

Neighborhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
