We absolutely loved our bartender. He was a wealth of knowledge and overall NOLA information, This place is a MUST see! It is either the oldest or 2nd oldest restaurant in NOAL. They have been in operation for 175 years. The drinks are to die for and the food is amazing!

I stopped here for lunch because I happened to be hungry as I was passing by. The $20 lunch deal (plus 25 cent cocktail of the day) is a very good deal. The portion sizes were reasonable and the food tasty, if not overwhelmingly wonderful. Service was okay, if a bit spotty. The big draw, in my view, is the... More

I should have known better. After dining at Irene's Cuisine, Delmonco, Commander's Palace and Muriel's Jackson Square over the past two long weekends spent recently in New Orleans, I tried Antoine's based on it's historic reputation. Big Mistake. The service is as poor as it gets - in any restaurant, including the lowest priced ones. The waiters are old, entitled,... More

We visited the day after Thanksgiving. For having so many wait staff, we waited an half hour for drinks and bread. We were ignored and passed multiple times by wait staff. They obviously don't work on a team system. Wasn't overly impressed with the food or portion sizes. Great service and a luxury experience could have made up for it... More

I've visited this restaurant 5 years ago. It was very good. Be warned, this is a very expensive restaurant. I loved this restaurant, its history, food. This time I came in and the place was 1/5 full. I was seated in the main dining hall, I hear later that this is the room they put the tourists, you know the... More

Went for dessert and had coffee and baked Alaska, which was just okay. Beautiful historic building with a lot of memorabilia, which is worth the trip. Dessert and coffee were just okay.

A nice venue but it is over rated. The service was so slow we nearly walked out. They have specific waiters for specific jobs so others are not willing to help you.

The best value in New Orleans for lunch at 19.16 for a very good semi fixed menu lunch. The ambiance is excellent with up scale old world service. This is also a nice quiet lunch stop which is sometimes desired. Would go back

Love the lunch prix fixe! $20.14. I had the oysters, pork chops with mashed sweet potatoes, and bread pudding. Delicious! And the 25 cent cocktails are fab. Today was a pink lemonade martini. The restaurant is beautiful. The staff is attentive. Highly recommend!

I was at Antoine in 2004 and it was very good but my recent visit was disappointing to say the least. We had the lunch special which was 20 dollars and included an Oyster appetizer an entree and a dessert. the appetizer was charbroiled oysters and the were very good. I sampled some other oysters one of them being Oysters... More

Staying in French Quarter

Neighborhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
