Pretty good Japanese food!

My wife and I needed a break from all the deep fried and cajun food so we decided to give this Japanese restaurant a try, and it didn't disappoint. It's not to say it's a great Japanese food, but knowing Japanese isn't really a popular choice in southern US, I think Rockn Sake delivered. The... read more

If you are stopping by just before you head out to the club them this is the place to be. The music is so loud you feel like you should just shut up and dance. It's hard to hear anything. On a weekend night it typically takes 1 to 1hour and a half to get a table so get there... More

Ventured out here while on vacation based on reviews. The wait was 40 mins but you were entertained by the music and people. Seated after while with great service cocktails and food. First time ever in a sushi bar with the latest hip-hop music. So eclectic we loved it.

My wife and I went for a date night and really enjoyed the sushi. The only thing that could have made it better is a dance floor in the back... (They crank the music up.)

A group of ladies were in New Orleans for a convention. We stopped by because someone to us about the sake margarita. I have to be honest ...I thought to myself sake margarita ... That's doesn't sound good. OMG one of the best drinks I have ever had. I wish I could remember the bartenders name because he was great.... More

I sat and had dinner in the bar, talked with the manager and the bartender - both were extremely friendly. The food was good and the drinks were better. I had the scallop appetizer and it was delicious, while rib eye teriyaki was a bit over cooked!

I went with an old college bud after a Saints game. The mixed drinks are unique in that they are named after Saints players. My sushi rolls were ornate and delicious. Great ambiance as well as tasty food.

Staying in Arts District / Warehouse District

Neighborhood Profile
Arts District / Warehouse District
Once a thriving industrial zone, today this district is home to a buzzing arts scene with an amazing assortment of galleries, boutiques, and studios having moved in and set up shop throughout the disused warehouses for which the area is so well known. Much of the art you'll come across here is local in scope, ownership and inspiration. However, among the many old brick warehouses are modern structures of steel and glass housing large-scale cultural institutions of national prominence such as the National World War II Museum, the Contemporary Arts Center, and the Ogden Museum of Southern Art. Just as eye catching as what’s on view inside the galleries and museums is the chance to see your ship come in at the Julia Street Cruise Terminal, which serves as a wistful reminder of the city’s historic maritime prominence.
