We enjoyed our visit here, the place is pretty classy and you feel you are out for a special occasion. Staff are courteous and professional and the food is (mostly) excellent: crab sardou was amazing and the etouffe out of this world, but the shrimp...More

The turtle soup and Crabmeat Maison were delicious, The shrimp Clemenceau was good and the bread pudding was barely okay. The atmosphere was LOUD; acoustical tiles would be helpful. The wait staff was excellent and very helpful. We enjoyed our meal but I wouldn't describe...More

Galatoire's has not changed in . . . forever . . . like New Orleans itself, in key respects. And that's part of its charm. Same worn tile floor, same unobtrusive solicitous wait staff who often treat people they spot as tourists less effusively than...More

Memorable experience for a Friday night dinner meal. Ambiance is very classic and men have to wear a jacket for dining. Redfish topped with crab meat and lemon butter caper sauce was very good! Service was fair compared to what was expected.

If you're looking for an old-fashion dining experience inside the French Quarter, look no further than Galatoire's. This is by far the best of the throwback restaurants. We came here for my 30th birthday this past Sunday and both the staff and the food were...More
