Best fried chicken ever. We didn't have reservations and they accommodated us with the southern grace you would expect. Our server was very good and as nice as she could be Buffett was exceptional

This is a New Orleans institution. The food is good, the service is friendly, and the experience is all New Orleans. Southern casual at its finest.

I finally made it to Dooky Chase and can't wait to go back again. I got the fired chicken and savored every morsel. Delicious chicken - moist but not greasy. I got the side dish of candied yams and devoured it. I didn't check out...More

This was a must on our list. The food is definitely good, but a lot of "fried" options. The staff was hospitable. I will definitely return.

That sound? That flavor? That certain je ne sais quoi
that lets you known you’re in “Nawlins” and nowhere
else? It’s all good and in broad abundance on the
streets of Tremé, where so much of what’s considered
to be the very best of New Orleans culture and
tradition is, put simply, just how people go about
their daily lives in this historic part of town. As
one of America’s oldest African-American neighborhoods

There is a lot of parking in the area. Walking while it's light is fine that said, I would think twice about walking at night.
