We really enjoyed our meal at Bayona. Everything we ordered was outstanding, the service was great and the atmosphere very nice. We were there to celebrate an occasion so we ordered drinks, wine and dessert in addition to our entrees and our bill came to almost $500 for four people. You will not be disappointed in your experience, just maybe... More

I have been a Susan Spicer fan since she was at the Bistro(23 years ago). We were at Bayona for my birthday in August and had an A+ meal. That added to our disappointment Thurs. We came to New Orleans to celebrate my wife's birthday. Both the appetizers and the meals were barely warm. We are so sorry but that... More

We have eaten at Bayona several times and have found it to be consistently good. The atmosphere is great for an intimate meal. The only nit was the server was a bit brash. Overall, don't miss this French Quarter gem!

Our visit was some time ago. The food was excellent, but my wife's steak came out raw. It was great when it came back. Our server was arrogant, but since it has been a couple years, I'm sure he has since moved on. We'll likely give it a second chance, next time we make it to NOLA.

We had several great dining experiences during our week in NOLA, but the garlic soup and rabbit dinner here was the single best meal of the week.

We had a lovely Saturday "light lunch" at Bayona. I am not sure I would call a 3-course lunch "light" exactly, but that is what its called on the menu. The three courses are offered for a fixed price of $25----very fair. My wife and I both started with a Stormy Morning cocktail---a champagne cocktail with St. Germain and violette... More

I had booked thru Open Table, which I sometimes find, perhaps because of its impersonal nature, relegates me a fringe table, and yes we were escorted to the upstairs hinterlands even tho there were tables in the much lovelier downstairs.. However, although we were the only people up there, it was quite nice and our server was knowledgeable and prompt.... More

We only had main courses because we weren't that hungry but were completely happy with our fantastic Latino-inspired duck breast. The atmosphere was charming and the service was fine.

It was a very pleasant day and we were able to dine on the patio. Food is always great. Try the roasted garlic soup and any fish dish on the menu....you won't be disappointed!!!

Had a romantic dinner here with my husband after spending the day in the French Quarter. The atmosphere was great, we sat in the garden and it was lovely. Maybe we started out to high by dinning at GW Fins the night before but the food here just didn't live up to the hype. It was good but our meal... More

Staying in French Quarter

Neighborhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
