My husband and I took a short vacation to New Orleans and were most interested in eating our way through the city's best restaurants. Brennan's was repeatedly recommended. This place is a must-do. It's where Bananas Foster was invented, and they still prepare it the same way. It is perfect! The food is great, and the restaurant is beautiful. Compared... More

30 years later, and it was like the first time! Staff and service impeccable...menu items described perfectly and consumed with great pleasure. Must repeat earlier comments about the exquisite staff...really enhances the dining experience. Ambience lovely...so glad we returned.

It's a long story, but the restaurant, a New Orleans classic, was closed for a few years for renovation. It was reopened a year or so ago. The interior is architecturally much to same to me so there are pleasant memories there. The staff is familiar and extremely competent. Dining at Brennan's has always been a special treat. I think... We were there for family party. The restaurant is beautiful, great service, good meal. Excellent dessert 'les crepes flambés'. Don't miss it.

Been here twice in two recent visits to NOLA. Each time, we went for brunch. This place is truly special. Best brunch I've ever had. Cannot say enough about the service and the quality of dishes. We really love this place!

Delicious turtle soup, gumbo, shrimp salad, broiled oysters and scrumptious desserts. Try the bread pudding soufflé, the chocolate pavan, the creme brûlée, and the Bananas Foster. Good service.

Visiting Nola with my family for my moms 75th & 80th bday. I believe Randy was our sever & he was awesome. We came during the champagne happy hour. Bottles of champagne were I believe half off which i highly recommend. Randy definitely made their bday celebration memorable.

I want to go to there, again and again and again. We had brunch with the kids (7 and 4), and every bite we put in our mouth was outstanding. Our server was fantastic - very proper but friendly and talkative at the right moments. He made our kiddos feel very welcome in what is not the most kid-friendly environment.... More

Staying in French Quarter

Neighborhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
