Have not been back to New Orleans since Katrina so I made a list of must go and Emeril's French Quarter eatery was high on it. So much of my style of cooking I attribute to him. Everything started out well. The bartender, Lisa, made an amazing Moscow Mule and even did. Virgin version for my daughter. She was personable... More

Atmosphere was was nice, waitstaff very attentive, food was okay, not something I would rave about. I had the shrimp and grits, was wholesome but expensive. Beverages were very good.

By far one of the best meals in New Orleans. Right around the corner from our hotel, we didn't realize it was an "Emeril" creation. We sat at the counter and watched the food being prepared. Fun time/incredible food!

Love this place! Very elegant but the prices are not outrageous. Healthy portions of food and everyone in our group loved their selections. I enjoyed the fried chicken. I didn't save room for dessert but wish I would have as the crème brule was served up in three flavors and were amazing. I loved the coconut!

This was a disappointed experience for our family. The food just OK, not thing special. I had the rabbit entrees and it was a disappointment. My husband had the hanger steak, and that didn't have much taste. The gulf fish dish was just OK. Overall, this was the most disappointed experience for my family. And the wait staffs are having... Impromptu stop because the restaurant we had planned to go was closed on Sundays, but not disappointed in plan b at all. We sat on the second floor and had great service. Food was delicious. We ordered the barbecue shrimp for an appetizer, it lasted about 30 seconds it was so good. Will definitely go back when in New Orleans... More

We were there on a Sunday evening in August, so getting in was no problem. We were seated right away in the upstairs area. We had several courses and wine with each. The food was okay, but nothing spectacular. The whole experience could have been much better if the service was better. There were plenty of bodies on the floor.... More

Ambiance: 3 Service: 3 Value: 3 Food: 5 I was torn between a 3 and a 4, but at the end of the day the Ooey Gooey Cake and Banana Pudding Layer Cake pushed this to a 4-star visit. There really isn't much for kids unless you have adventurous eaters. They made a rather expensive cheese pizza that my kiddos... More

Service and ambiance great. Food, on the other hand was disappointing. I was exciting to eat at one of Emeril's restaurants, but was thoroughly saddened by the lack luster taste of the food.

I was excited to go to NOLA. The duck was FABULOUS, but everything else was barely mediocre. At first I ordered a sangria, but they didn't have it. The waitress informed me it wasn't good anyway and proceeded to tell me how they take short cuts and make it of poor quality. Wow. The cocktail I did order wasn't great.The... More

Staying in French Quarter

Neighborhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
