Awesome place, glad we chose Muriel's. Our meal was spot on and our whole table loved their meals. The little miniature bday cake at the end of the night was a classy touch. Service was top of everything, we'll run place.

I have passed by Muriels many times, but had never stopped. I had no idea what a great meal I was missing. I thoroghly enjoyed it - and the waitstaff was attentive and very kind to someone dining alone. In spite of having two parties of over twenty people each, the service was impeccable.

The food in NOLA is unbeatable and Muriel's is a must stop. The customer service is the best in town and the history in this building tops them all.

We ate here the second night we were in New Orleans and I'm a little ashamed to say we were "those guests" that all waiters secretly hate. We didn't make a reservation, showed up at peek dinner time. We were a little under-dressed and ordered soup and appetizers. That being said, the staff never once made us feel unwelcome and... More

When I'm planning a trip somewhere, I take a lot of timing researching where to eat and what to do. Since we were visiting over a weekend, I wanted to be sure we experienced a New Orleans Jazz Brunch. The options were vast. I finally narrowed it down to Muriel's because of their vegetarian options on the menu and I... More

We enjoyed our Sunday Jazz Brunch very much. The staff was great and the food was wonderful. The music was sweet icing on the cake. It may seem early but try the rum punch with brunch and if you have room the flourless chocolate cake is a great closer.

Being a Canadian chef I found the level if service and the food to be of the highest quality. The ambiance was great and they really look after the customer.

We asked our cab driver for a recommendation for lunch near our hotel. He drove us directly to Muriel's. Unfortunately, we just missed by minutes, having the lunch menu. At 2:00, it changes to a bar menu which is quite limited. That was all right with us; we were hungry. We were seated at the bar because there were no... More

Another great find. Used Open Table to seamlessly book a table. They offer ala carte or a great value price fixed menu. We opted for the price fixed at $39 per person for three course. Good choices that cover anyone's taste. We had the shrimp and goat cheese crepes and the seafood gumbo for apps. Perfect non filling and delicious.... More

Staying in French Quarter

Neighborhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
