New Orleans has too many independent restaurants that is NOLA much more so than a place that belongs in tropical beach scenes.

Chain food at best. Nothing really sticks out about this place except pricy froufrou drinks. Big and dark inside.

Not a bad spot but doesn't offer anything better than a 'tourist place'. If you need to escape New Orleans, go here.

worth walking to and getting away from the Bourbon St. mayhem. Sat outside on balcony watching the sites while a band was playing inside. Decent food and plenty to drink.

If this is the spot you find yourself at while in NOLA, you don't really know the beauty of the city. If you find yourself having a good time here, you don't belong.

I had no idea about Jimmy Buffet or who he was, but this place kind of showed me. It has a lot of excess in its decorations, but I think children and families might enjoy it. The food was nothing special, neither the drinks.

In town for the Sugar Bowl so wanted to get a Cheeseburger In Paradise ( and a t-shirt) so after the pep rally we walked down Decatur Street for 3 quarter mile after dark to only find that it was closed! Wish that have been advertised a little better before we walked all that way. Royally sucked!

Ordinarily I love Jmmy’s Margaritaville – and in fact I seek them out whenever I travel to a locale where one is to be found. However this experience left sometime (a LOT of things) to be desired. Decided to bring my daughter to Nawrlins for her 18th b-day. Was having a great and memorable time and dropped into Margaritaville where... More

Margaritaville New Orleans – once a state of mind is now a state of being and a landmark in New Orleans’ French Market. Margaritaville embraces the mythical world defined by the insightful lyrics of singer/songwriter Jimmy Buffett for over three decades. Characters both local and from prose and poem create an entertaining atmosphere that brings to life the search for the legendary lost shaker of salt. From the Tire Swing Bar to the Deja Vu Dining Room, Margaritaville is a colorful tableau of New Orleans Culture and Buffett philosophy. The island-inspired menu offers something for everyone with American and regional favorites and, of course, signature Margaritas. The Storyville Tavern features free live music daily from 3pm.

Staying in French Quarter

Neighborhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
