We happened upon this little gem while walking to find some good eats. The aroma of garlic, cheese and savory spices filled out the door and drew us in! The Mona Lisa pizza is amazing and everything was fresh and homemade! The staff is incredibly kind and attentive!

The little Italian joint was a few blocks from our hotel. We went for a late evening dinner and it was EXCEPTIONAL. Our waiter made us feel like we were his only table in the place. He was friendly without being invasive. Just over all FANTASTIC!

We walked in on a whim right before opening. I felt like we should wait for the rest of the staff to show, but were greeted graciously & with a genuine smile. Split an order of bruschetta which was very different from any I have ever had. I believe the tomatoes were roasted and added so much more richness &... More

After reading some less than good reviews I was skeptical in selecting this restaurant. I chose it for it's localle which is perfectly situated between the bustle of Bourbon and Frenchman. I've got to say I'm so glad we dined here! 5-star meal? Perhaps not. But what I can assure you is exactly what the couple leaving answered as we... More

Frank was our server and he was great. We ordered pizza and it wasn't bad, but I wasn't blown away. The place definitely had a run down feel. Everytime an employee would come through the back door, I would smell smoke. Next time we are in NOLA for Italian, I will try another place.

They were really busy when we went in and there was a mix up with our order, but server made it all better! The shrimp fettucine was superb and the artichoke and spinach dip was top notch! Service was impeccable.

I came here a few months ago with friends and wasn't expecting much. I LOVED the mona lisa's in their different forms covering the walls of the place, that is such a good idea. The food is decently priced and the portions are large. The bathrooms were a little odd, but they are odd all over the quarter so no... More

Mona Lisa restaurant is a must for every visit to New Orleans. The food is consistently wonderful, but there's a wait sometimes at peak hours. But it's worth waiting!

The staff was very nice and welcoming and we had a good time there. However, while I had a great seafood linguine in white wine sauce, my friend's parmesan meatball did not live up to that standard.

Disappointing restaurant for New Orleans. Portions large but not exceptional. Had a pretty good pizza but eggplant parmesan had by others was not good- just a lot. casual atmosphere

Staying in French Quarter

Neighborhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
