We wanted to book this restaurant for the final night of our trip to New Orleans as we has been told it was good food at good value. We tried to make a reservation for 8 people via our concierge, only to be told they don't take bookings! 8 people wanting to spend money....mistake.....don't bother!

We try to go to New Orleans a couple of times a year, and each time we visit, our trip is not complete until we have enjoyed a meal at Mona Lisa. Charming atmosphere, friendly staff, and wonderful food along with a nice glass of wine really makes for a perfect dining experience. It is a great place to take... More

had a very nice bowl of primavera pasta, good wine, quaint ambiance, owner was hilarious. Pricing for pasta is a little high but you are in the french quarter, and it is a cute fun place to eat where you can draw on the table with crayons !! Or play hangman, or tictac toe...whatever tickles your fancy

Hubby and I were craving Italian and found this place. It was awesome. Started with the spinach dip, then salads that came with our entrees. You also get a piece of cheese bread with the salad. We also ordered the basket of garlic bread from for $3. I got the pasta Alfredo with chicken. It was $3 extra to add... More

Great place for a family to eat together in the French Quarter after several days of Cajun/creole food. Sat at a large table near the back and had a really pleasant dinner with large portions of Italian food.

We had the bruschetta app and it wasn't that great basically toast sticks with a tomato paste topping not very good. The garlic bread wasn't that great either. Tiny little restaurant on the quiet end of Royal. Fabulous food. We had a pizza and a veal/pasta dish. Both were well prepared and very good. Love the multitude of Mona Lisas for decor! (Some are a little more....risqué than others) Great option for a pretty authentic Italian meal! Will return, for sure.

Staying in French Quarter

Neighborhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
