My wife and I have just returned from our first visit to New Orleans. Friends gave us numerous dining recommendations (everyone has their own favourite) and so we chose two traditional and two contemporary, Commander's Palace being one of the more traditional choices. Our friends...More

A classy restaurant (formal wear required) with excellent food (try turtle soup and definitively do not miss the bread pudding) at reasonable prices. This is a place to spend a great evening in New Orleans. Do not forget to reserve in advance.

We had a lovely meal here and would recommend it to anyone looking to treat yourselves. The wine recommendations were well suited to the food, the staff were courteous and helpful, the surroundings lovely - we sat in the courtyard.

This is always a treat to come here. Food is absolutely superb. I'm not a fan of bread pudding, but I almost want to lick the bowl when I order it here. Service is impeccable.

This was one of the best meals I have had in the USA. All dishes delicious; service from our head waiter Todd excellent. I was expecting it to be very expensive and perhaps rather snooty: It was neither.
