Irene's is a quaint restaurant in the French Quarter. They have a nice bar with live piano music. The menu is a eclectic ; they offer duck, escargo, lamb, fish, fisherman's stew (Cioppino) and lasagna. They also had a few nice specials the night we went....More

What a pleasant surprise this little restaurant was! We got in immediately and were led to a charming alcove that had only 2 small tables. Our waiter was so attentive and fun. The restaurant was beautifully decorated for Christmas. And the food was fabulous. On...More

Not having a reservation, I was seated at a high table in the bar area near the pianist. I don't typically like sitting so close to the bar but, on a weekday night, it was fine...and actually a great location to enjoy the excellent pianist....More

Love this restaurant. Our drinks, food, and dessert were delicious. We did make reservations bc it gets very crowded here, but it was probably the best meal we had in the French Quarter. Also, it’s wheelchair friendly😀

A wonderful dinner in a city known for great cuisine. It was recommended by a friend and we would definitely come back.

The restaurant has an odd layout for seating. However, the food made up for it being tight seating. The service was good.

We had dinner with friends whilst over from the UK. Booked on line that morning and offered 5.30 or 8.30, no intermediate times. Took 5.30 though really too early for dinner. Seated in the panelled dining room with nice food, wine and general ambience. I...More

A bit overrated from the previous reviews. My wife and I frequent NOLA. This was our first time trying this restaurant. The inside décor of the restaurant is extremely nice. But the night we were there the service level was way off. Our waiter was...More

We all ordered different items for entrees and no complaints. Not sure worth all the talk but loved in past.

Girlfriend and I ate here a couple months ago. Excellent food. Our waiter Lee was outstanding. Maitre’D Sandy was also great. Owner, whom I presume was Irene, was all over the place mingling with the patrons and checking on them. New Orleans gem.

French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living
lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty

across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied
around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively
well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the

Piano bar, yes. Not intrusive, particularly in other dining rooms. Very nice background. You could choose to sit in the piano bar or not. Ask when you call for reservations.
