Stood out in a city that's hard to stand out in! Fish came out over cooked the first time but they were happy to fix the issue! It was great! From apps to desert all was great!

This place was highly recommended by various sources, so my trepidation was nil. The atmosphere is upscale chic, i came in for dinner solo at around 10pm and had a fantastic meal. I started with the lobster dumplings which were delicious and in a milky cream sauce which had delicious flavor. My entree was the blackened swordfish which i can... More

14 years ago, my husband and I honeymooned in New Orleans. Wanting something that wasn't considered "touristy", we were referred to GW Fins. It's been 14 years and we still talk about the food and the service. If that isn't one of the best recommendations a restaurant can get, then I don't know what is!!

We were in from out of town and hoping to have a intimate birthday dinner. The manager was very gracious and opened a section to accommodate us, despite being very busy. The food is clearly outstanding and the service was excellent. We were very pleased.

Not only was the food amazing, but so was all of the service for my husband's 50th birthday celebration while in N.O. for a long weekend. Each person that came to the table gave him their birthday wishes. They also had decorations spread across the center of the table in honor of the occasion. The food was excellent from start... Had a great time at GW Fins. On arrival, we were told that there was at least a two hour wait for a table in the restaurant, and an hour for a table in the bar, but that the barman might be able to fit us in at the bar; spoke to the barman (I wish I could remember his... More

No doubt the restaurant is known for good fish and its reputation is well justified, but it's not all as wonderful as some of the great fish dishes we tried. Appetizers were is little disappointing and the dessert offerings were simply in a class of their own - unfortunately not the right class. It's a popular spot and busy every... More

Best meal we had in NOLA. Reservations required and suggest you make them days in advance. The service was exceptional and waiter knowledgeable. He recommended the Scalibut which was an excellent choice. appetizers, salads, soups, entrees, drinks and deserts were spot on and served in a timely manner. This is a must if you enjoy fine dining and excellent service.

Celebrated our anniversary with GW Fins and they made it very special. The Tuna was the best I have ever tasted! Don't leave NOLA without eating here!

We visited for a friends birthday whilst on holiday in New Orleans. We had a table booked for 8.00pm & did have to wait a little, but the staff we so friendly & offered our party a complementary starter. The food, drinks & service were all fantastic! Would recommend this restaurant to anyone heading to New Orleans.

Experience the cuisine that has created raving fans of local diners and national and local food critics alike. Chef Tenney Flynn (two time winner of "Chef of the Year" in New Orleans Magazine) ensures the highest quality seafood by flying in products from around the globe and featuring only the best from local waters - both at their seasonal peak. This commitment to freshness and variety are two of the many reasons GW Fins prints its menu daily and has received numerous glowing reviews in The Times-Picayune (4 beans), Food & Wine, Southern Living and Esquire magazines. Staying in French Quarter

Neighborhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
