I had been wanting to try GW Fins since I never got a chance while they briefly had a location in Charlotte. I am glad that I got a reservation so my wife and I could enjoy a great meal. She had the scallops and I had the scalibut. I've never seen scalibut on a menu before but I'm glad... More

If you are in New Orleans and are looking for that gourmet experience, this is surely a place to consider visiting. Amazing drinks, well prepared The Three fins (with Agave reposado, Agave nectar, basil, fresh lime and salted rim) and Fins cup (with gin, fresh lime and ginger beer) are excellent refreshing punchy choice. For after dinner, try the Chocolate... More

Came highly reccomended by the hotel concierge and it did not dissapoint..the dining room was open and beautiful...The service was superb, but the dinner itself was the cherry on the sundae...Both my wife and I had fish that was probably the best we had in New Orleans and that says alot because I think it might be impossible to get... Located right in the French Quarter this place was very pretty, had excellent service and good food. My daughter loved her scalibut even though she wasn't sure about the scallops. My swordfish was juicy but could have used a bit more flavor, however when dunked in the sauce provided it was more flavorful.

There's a reason this is the top rated restaurant in the city. Our server Ron was extremely personable and attentive without being intrusive. And then there's the food. Not a single dish ordered by the four of us was less than excellent, and both the lobster bisque and the coconut sorbet were the greatest I've ever had. Anywhere. If you... More

The food here is great and that is why we came. the service is mediocre. Our waiter was more interested in socializing with any number of diners than he was in waiting on tables so things were really slow. But the noise wiped out any feeling of charm or good will. It was deafening. I could not easily talk across... More

This is one of the best restaurants I have been to....we started with the bbq shrimp, you must dip your bread in the sauce, we also had the lobster dumplings which were delicious. We both had the wedge salad which was crisp and fresh. For entrees my husband had the filet mignon over potatoes with a side of mushroom risotto.... More

Usually the second time you visit some place is disappointing, yet the 2nd time we visited here it was terrific. We were actually expecting to be disappointed the 3rd time, but it was even better! The pork belly and watermelon is pure genius. If you are in NOLA, this is a must.

Staying in French Quarter

Neighborhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
