As expected this was a good meal. Good options and a nice selection. Happy with my choice. Waiter was very pleasant - would happily return. Would not go if you did not like seafood as being a seafood restaurant this is primary the menu.

This review is going to be lost among the many, many other 5-star reviews, but oh well, It deserves the 5-star rating! I went with my mom on New Year's Eve. Everything was done with excellence. The bartender was spot on in his recommendation of wine for me. The hostesses were very pleasant and polite. Our server was also great... More

We made a reservation at GW Fins due to its stellar reputation on Trip Advisor...and we were not disappointed. We sat in a booth that was like sitting on a cloud. The biscuits are delicious (I asked for the recipe and they happily provided me with a copy). We had the lobster ravioli and pork belly with watermelon for an... More

My husband and I visited GW Fins for dinner before a broadway show. We both loved it! We were full from eating everything on our plates but didn't feel gross for eating too much, portions were just right. Service was great! We will be back.

I chose each restaurant carefully while we visited NOLA--none held a candle to GW Fins. Best service bar none and perfectly prepared food. I had the sheepshead fish (fun note--I googled sheepshead fish and it's the ugliest thing with human-looking teeth) and it was amazing. Even if you're not an oyster lover, you simply must try the grilled oysters--they are... More

If you love seafood, you can't miss a trip to GW Fins. Food is delicious and incredibly fresh. Service is outstanding and the atmosphere is cozy and romantic. Also try the Salty Malty Ice Cream Pie for desert - it is a salty/pretzel/ice cream treat that I still have dreams about. GW Finns is fabulous choice if you are in... More

Amazing food, beautiful restaurant, great service! We had the lobster dumplings, I had the chicken with rice and mushrooms, he had the pork chops and we finished with the fabulous white chocolate and pecan bread pudding! Excellent! Right off bourbon street.

One of the best meals I've ever had. Attention to details. It was my wife's birthday and they treated her like the queen of England. The lobster dumplings were absolutely amazing.

I had the barbecue shrimp to start which was excellent, followed by one of the many fish dishes. All beautifully presented and very tasty. Service was good and timely. Definitely book, this place was packed on a Monday night.

Staying in French Quarter

Neighborhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
