Everything about our meal was exceptional. Service was outstanding, ambience and decor were first class. The menu was mainly seafood, but everything was excellent.

A difficult one. Firstly the bar area is tiny and chocked, so not worth turning up early unless you enjoy standing like a sardine! The food is superb some of the best fish I've eaten. Our waiter ( not a college student) Moose was both knowledgeable and professional. So why not a 5 star rating. Well it is the lack... More

We decided to celebrate our daughter passing the bar with a group of ten family members. The staff was super as always. The food was wonderful. The pork belly appetizer is a favorite of ours. This restaurant is a must go to place when in New Orleans.

We ate here based on the reviews. I was disappointed. Thought the place was extremely LOUD. Had we not been with two friends, I would have told my husband I wanted to leave. The service was not so great either. Small menu too. Not sure if I missed something since this got a good rating on Trip Adivsor. We go... More

This is an excellent place to celebrate a special event or simply give yourself a treat. We booked through Open Table, although you can sometimes find a cozy seat at the bar or a table in the bar area in this justifiably popular restaurant. My husband and I went to celebrate my first year cancer-free, and we're still talking about... More

We wanted a nice place to celebrate our anniversary, and the hotel directed us to GW Fins. It was half a block from hotel. The food and service was excellent. Rod was very attentive to us. He answered all the questions about menu and made some suggestions too. GW Fin should be one of the places you dine in NewOrleans

Having eaten here on more than two occasions when in New Orleans, I have to say the food is excellent and the biscuits are fantastic. Pair that with the first rate service and it is an awesome combination. Give it a try and I am sure you will agree it is fantastic!!

My wife are in town for a friend's birthday party. we know NOLA from our first visit 50 years ago but are new to GW Fins. We chose it because of the amazing reviews, mainly accentuating food and service. Both are accurate. Wonderful service - attentive but not sycophantic, and plentiful. Food was superb: I had shrimp remoulade salad and... More

We really enjoyed dinner at GW Fins and now understand its high rating. The extensive menu includes uncommon varieties of fish and they have no problem with special requests. The service was very good and the pacing was just right. A bit noisy but not bothersome.

Found this place the first time by mistake. Went to another place for dinner and ended up leaving. Walked down the block and found this. They were more than accommodating (even though we didn't quite meet the dress code). My husband is gluten free dairy free and they were able to navigate the menu to accommodate this. Once, our order... More

Staying in French Quarter

Neighborhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
