Regardless of WHEN you just have to eat on Bourbon Street this is the place to go! Its just a hole in the wall kind of diner with a limited menu featuring breakfast and a few sandwiches. Speciality is a cheese burger cooked under an ancient Baby Moon hubcap, steamed to perfection!! Where else can you get a Pork Chop... More

Tiny but mighty, this colorful joint serves 24-hour breakfast and great burgers. The staff are highly entertaining, and the value's great. An easy stop off on Bourbon Street and close to the gay bars.

We have breakfast early if available. So we showed up around 7.30am. I was not sure if that really was the place with a fun atmosphere. To me there was no atmosphere at all. Maybe almost no interior design is fun? I ordered cold cereals. The waiter did not even know that they were on the menu. Choice is limited... More

Good, greasy food. I was thoroughly berated for ordering a grilled cheese, however my boyfriend got a burger with bacon and chili. It was amazing and is the perfect greasy food to have to cure a hangover, etc.

This restaurant is open 24 hours and has a limited menu, but its a great greasy spoon. Very affordable and great food. We had breakfast here several mornings. Downside - Just walking in the place to pickup a coffee and you'll smell like gravy the rest of the day. yummm

Stopped in after the bar one night. Waited for a bit to get in but it is always worth the wait. There portions are huge and very delecious. There is usually a line but I definitely recommend to wait in it and try the food.

Whenever I visit NOLA I always stay in the Quarter. That said, the Clover Diner is one of my "go-to" places. Some times I want the "Breakfast at Brennan's" experience but others, I want the casual comfort of this diner. Traditional items include pecan waffles, biscuits & gravy, omelets - all of which are very good. The staff is attentive... More

I had not been here in over a year. This past week I happen to walk by with friends and they wanted a quick burger. As i was protesting in front of the large windows I notice the cook taking fresh patties and placing them on the grill, instead of the frozen pucks i was served last two times there.... More

I didn't think it was possible to get a bad meal in New Orleans. I was wrong. I had a tuna fish sandwich which was fine, but my husband complained that his food was greasy. I tried one of his onion rings which were swimming in oil. If you want burgers and sandwiches, there are better places. However, the wait... More

After waking up bright and early around 11 A.M. We walked from our room at the Olivier Hotel to the Clover Grill for breakfast. Got the Pork Chop, eggs and has browns and the better half got the bacon and eggs and grits. Good hearty and greasy meal after a night of alcohol imbibing to a excess. You can't go... More

Staying in French Quarter

Neighborhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
