This place is a favorite of ours in New Orleans. It's a "greasy spoon" type of place, but the burgers I've had are the best. The staff are fun. They can be a bit rough around the edge, but it's the atmosphere I go for. It's. it he cleanest in appearance, but they coos the food there in fri t... More

One of the best hamburgers I've eaten. Friendly staff and good food. Not too pricey. Just a good place to eat.

Tiny, open 24 hrs/day, great breakfast and lunch menu, lovable servers, and away from the craziness and carnage of the rest of Bourbon Street. We go to Clover Grill for breakfast and lunch three or four times every time we visit NOLA because the food is excellent and we've never been disappointed. Clover Grill is an authentic 1950's café serving... More

I struggled with this review, because the food is around 3 stars but the Clover Grill provides a 5 star diner experience. We walked in at 3:00am for a burger, and it was packed with a fascinating cross section of humanity. The burger was frozen and just ok, but the tater tots and iced tea were excellent, all prepared by... More

Stopped in here for a bite after having some fun on bourbon. It's an old school diner and we loved it! Burgers and onion rings hit the spot. Price was right and the guys on the grill were awesome. Worth a visit for sure!

This place is what I expected in a diner. They are a great option when you want to avoid the throngs of people on Bourbon Street. A look at the menu told me they have a sense of humor, which I appreciate. They serve a decent burger, and also breakfast anytime.

We were out late on a week night and wanted a good burger, so we just decided to try the Clover Grill. We each got the bacon cheeseburger with fries. All I can say is "MMMMM, dat sho do be some good food!" Best hamburger I've had in a long time. And they have sweet tea! I now know of... More

Standard diner food in the heart of the gay section of Bourbon St. The food is good and so are the servers. It's packed during prime bar times.

Great small diner with old school charm and enough grease in the air to smother all the cigarette smell you might have soaked into your clothes in the bars. Cheap eats and fast and friendly. There were two of us and we got one of the 5 tables so we told the server we would be happy to share our... More

Always have a late night meal or breakfast here when I travel to New Orleans. This visit was during Southern Decadance, so as you can imagine this little spot was packed. Great greasy burgers and breakfast with southern style grits....nothing better!

Staying in French Quarter

Neighborhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
