As Emeril is from our area (MA), going to his first restaurant on this trip was a must! So glad we went. From the minute we walked in, til the minute we walked out, treated with respect. Darrell our waiter, was engaging, knowledgeable, timely, a professional. We ordered pinot noir from Santa Barbara with Emeril's label. excellent choice. We had... More

We dined at Emeril's for my friends birthday. She is a newbie to New Orleans and this was her introduction. I have dined here several times. On previous visits everything has been perfect: service, food and ambiance. We started with escargot and a chicken / andouille gumbo of the day. They were both excellent. Angel hair pasta is included with... More

Our table was ready at our reserved time. Alexis, our server, was very cordial and gladly answered questions about the menu. The restaurant has a very friendly atmosphere. Lighting was nice and the tables spaced enough to where we could converse without a noise problem. Emeril's has a very extensive wine list. The meal was excellent and well presented. It... More

The place is beautifully designed inside with an open kitchen. We went for one thing only-- the banana cream pie. This is one of, if not, the finest dessert I have ever eaten!! The pie is about 6'' high and filled with bananas and banana custard. Fabulous.

We had the best lunch at Emeril's while visiting NOLA. The space is modern and chic, and the service was very polished but friendly. Three types of bread are presented at first. There was a wheat roll, focaccia, and a corn muffin as I recall, and all were wonderfully prepared and served with a compound butter. I had the salmon... More

When I told my wife I made reservations to spend 5 nights in New Orleans she immediately asked me to make reservations at Emeril's restaurant for lunch. I did. The second day in NOLA we went to Emeril's. A short walk from our hotel, Harrah's. We were seated by a very nice gentleman. We asked to be seated at the... More

A great restaurant know how to creat a great overall experience. That experience has to ultimately end up being more.than the sum of its many parts. Sure you expect the food to be good. It is New Orleans and look who"s name is on the sign. But are the people dialed in? Have the details been addressed before you arrive?... More

Up front disclaimer--I wasn't thrilled about coming to Emeril's. I'm not much for dining someplace just because it was on TV, etc. I dined at Emeril's on a Saturday night as part of a dinner meal with colleagues. The restaurant is very nice, nice ambience, and you would feel comfortable there in formal clothes or casual. As expected, the food... More

Opened in 1990 by Chef Emeril Lagasse in New Orleans, Emeril's Restaurant serves his signature style of "New New Orleans" cuisine, featuring the best local and regional seasonal ingredients. Nestled in a renovated pharmacy warehouse on Tchoupitoulas Street in the heart of the city's Warehouse District, Emeril's interior features rustic exposed brick and glass walls flanking one side of the main dining room, with plaster-lathe wood forming a wine wall on the other. Guests may enjoy watching the action in the kitchen while enjoying a meal at the chef's Food Bar.

Staying in Arts District / Warehouse District

Neighborhood Profile
Arts District / Warehouse District
Once a thriving industrial zone, today this district is home to a buzzing arts scene with an amazing assortment of galleries, boutiques, and studios having moved in and set up shop throughout the disused warehouses for which the area is so well known. Much of the art you'll come across here is local in scope, ownership and inspiration. However, among the many old brick warehouses are modern structures of steel and glass housing large-scale cultural institutions of national prominence such as the National World War II Museum, the Contemporary Arts Center, and the Ogden Museum of Southern Art. Just as eye catching as what’s on view inside the galleries and museums is the chance to see your ship come in at the Julia Street Cruise Terminal, which serves as a wistful reminder of the city’s historic maritime prominence.
