We were only able to get kitchen counter reservations which turned out to be a great experience. We faced the itches and watched all the food being prepared by a hard working staff that worked in harmony. I kept expecting a crash but it never happened. It was a real eye opener to see a famous chef orchestrate a large... More

We had the most pleasant dinner at Emeril's New Orleans. As soon as we walked in the atmosphere was great. The service was pleasant and efficient. The food was wonderful. We had the sausage and BBQ shrimp apps. My soft shelled crab dinner was a special and was fresh and generous. The pork chop was huge and tasty. The grasshopper... More

A beautiful environment surrounds you as you enjoy the food in the restaurant. I was a bit surprised that it wasn't a bit more casual and welcoming. The food was good but I found it over-priced.

Excellent service and the food was awsome. Atmosphere was business casual. I've been to several of Emeril's restaurants and this one was the best of that particular brand that I have been to.

I was a bit sceptical of this restaurant at first because of small portion sizes typically found at fine dining restaurants, but was surprised when the food came to the table. I ordered the grilled pork chop which was delicious and a more than reasonable portion and my partner ordered the steak which was also on par. Very friendly and... More

We had high expectations and I wouldn't say too high, but we left knowing full well that other restaurants we had visited were far better. Most of our dishes were overlooked and too salty. Cooks in the open kitchen were arguing (Emeril himself was not present on our visit) and as we ordered, my youngest son (13) was between two... More

We loved our experience here. The space is beautiful and the ambience was wonderful. The service was excellent, attentive but not intrusive. On to the main reason we were here... the food. The bread service was very good, highlighted by the caramelized onion Foccaccia and the corn bread muffin, yum!We started our order with appetizers, including the very tasty BBQ... More

My wife, son and I experienced Emeril's while in New Orleans. Our expectations were certainly exceeded. We were seated promptly at the reservation time. The wait staff was tremendously helpful, polite, friendly and warm. The food exceeded our expectations and the presentation was wonderful. Although just a little pricey, the entire experience was well worth it. Certainly a "must" on... More

Opened in 1990 by Chef Emeril Lagasse in New Orleans, Emeril's Restaurant serves his signature style of "New New Orleans" cuisine, featuring the best local and regional seasonal ingredients. Nestled in a renovated pharmacy warehouse on Tchoupitoulas Street in the heart of the city's Warehouse District, Emeril's interior features rustic exposed brick and glass walls flanking one side of the main dining room, with plaster-lathe wood forming a wine wall on the other. Guests may enjoy watching the action in the kitchen while enjoying a meal at the chef's Food Bar.

Staying in Arts District / Warehouse District

Neighborhood Profile
Arts District / Warehouse District
Once a thriving industrial zone, today this district is home to a buzzing arts scene with an amazing assortment of galleries, boutiques, and studios having moved in and set up shop throughout the disused warehouses for which the area is so well known. Much of the art you'll come across here is local in scope, ownership and inspiration. However, among the many old brick warehouses are modern structures of steel and glass housing large-scale cultural institutions of national prominence such as the National World War II Museum, the Contemporary Arts Center, and the Ogden Museum of Southern Art. Just as eye catching as what’s on view inside the galleries and museums is the chance to see your ship come in at the Julia Street Cruise Terminal, which serves as a wistful reminder of the city’s historic maritime prominence.
