We visited on a Saturday night and it was indeed wow! The food was delicious but it was the service that had the wow factor. Our waiter Cordell was amazing, extremely attentive, very polite, I could go on and on about him because he was so great. We had the drum fish which was amazing and the pork chop which... More

I went with friends, we were all looking forward to eating in Emeril's restaurant. It was full when we arrived but we were seated right away. A few tables away was a group of drunken, middle-aged frat brothers, who proceeded to make so much noise that the waiter couldn't hear our orders. When we finally got our entrees an hour... More

when in new orleans you must visit this original emeril's. I ordered the signature pork chop again and it is a 16 oz chop bone-in that is the most tender pork chop you'll ever eat. The service and food are both impeccable. No negatives here

First off, props to the waitstaff. I came in fresh off a flight from California and not dressed my best, but nobody batted an eye. Service was prompt and friendly. The food was... good. Somewhat overpriced, but very tasty, and with some creative options. Not a lot of choices for those who don't eat red meat, but I managed.

The food was very good. I had the swordfish. Our waiter was very attentive and friendly. Atmosphere was quiet and made for pleasant visiting. I would definitely come back.

Staff are very friendly and well trained. I went by myself as my husband had a business dinner. No reservation but I arrived early and was told I could sit at the bar, at a table in the bar area, or at one of the seats overlooking the kitchen. I chose the seat overlooking the kitchen and found the food... More

My husband and I first time in New Orleans, we had some friends who lived here and they took us to this restaurant. The food was exquisite. The waiters and busboys were very attentive- I say 5 stars to them. Good ambiance. Overall, great experience!

The restaurant is beautiful and the service first rate. However, the food was not really memorable. It was fine, just nothing was really great. Everyone in my party agreed. With so many exceptional restaurants in New Orleans, and the fact that Emeril's is rather expensive, I expected an exceptional experience and was a little disappointed.

How much better can it get than to have Terrific Service, Great Food, and Nice Atmosphere? All three entree's were perfect. The huge Pork Chop, The Crusted Drum, and The Salmon were well prepared, delivered hot, and extremely tasty. The only thing I would have done was add a little "Bam" to kick up the BBQ Shrimp appetizer, but then... More

Opened in 1990 by Chef Emeril Lagasse in New Orleans, Emeril's Restaurant serves his signature style of "New New Orleans" cuisine, featuring the best local and regional seasonal ingredients. Nestled in a renovated pharmacy warehouse on Tchoupitoulas Street in the heart of the city's Warehouse District, Emeril's interior features rustic exposed brick and glass walls flanking one side of the main dining room, with plaster-lathe wood forming a wine wall on the other. Guests may enjoy watching the action in the kitchen while enjoying a meal at the chef's Food Bar.

Staying in Arts District / Warehouse District

Neighborhood Profile
Arts District / Warehouse District
Once a thriving industrial zone, today this district is home to a buzzing arts scene with an amazing assortment of galleries, boutiques, and studios having moved in and set up shop throughout the disused warehouses for which the area is so well known. Much of the art you'll come across here is local in scope, ownership and inspiration. However, among the many old brick warehouses are modern structures of steel and glass housing large-scale cultural institutions of national prominence such as the National World War II Museum, the Contemporary Arts Center, and the Ogden Museum of Southern Art. Just as eye catching as what’s on view inside the galleries and museums is the chance to see your ship come in at the Julia Street Cruise Terminal, which serves as a wistful reminder of the city’s historic maritime prominence.
