This restaurant has a nice atmosphere, staff very welcoming and great service. The best piece on the evening, for me, was the Grasshopper cocktail , spicy delicious; so well balanced and done! The food was of good quality, generous portions and good presentation. Service extremely attentive to customers needs. Would definitely recommend this place

We had late reservations so the restaurant was not packed on a Friday night however, the bar was a buzz. We sat down immediately. Wonderful service. Good wine list. The appetizer shrimp was yummy. I had the red fish which was amazing and my husband had the trio of meat, which he loved. We also indulged in crème Brule which... More

An excellent combination of fine dining and real-life employees. The wait staff was down to earth and friendly as opposed to our expected stuffiness. The food was very good. I would 'take it up a notch' recommend Emeril's!

I'm still stunned 2 weeks after eating a glorious lunch here. 3 of us were vacationing and planned a ladies lunch afternoon. Service - impeccable, the team was playful, fun and took care of every need. Every bit was just fabulous - shrimp and gravy (you'll want to bathe in the gravy), lobster salad with crispy farro, and every dish... More

Nineteen years ago we could not even get into Emeril's' New Orleans due to the waiting list. Very glad to dine here on our recent vacation in New Orleans. The restaurant has a homey, comfortable feel and the food is typical Emeril. He seems to take everyday home cooking and put foods together that you would not think go together.... More

After leaving Mother's due to a very negative experience, I stumbled upon Emeril's and the food, bartender, and atmosphere turned my day from negative to very positive. I sat at the bar and the bartender, a fellow that looks like Russel Brand, was lovely. I ordered a shrimp po boy and a moscow mule. Both were delicious and delightful. The... More

Opened in 1990 by Chef Emeril Lagasse in New Orleans, Emeril's Restaurant serves his signature style of "New New Orleans" cuisine, featuring the best local and regional seasonal ingredients. Nestled in a renovated pharmacy warehouse on Tchoupitoulas Street in the heart of the city's Warehouse District, Emeril's interior features rustic exposed brick and glass walls flanking one side of the main dining room, with plaster-lathe wood forming a wine wall on the other. Guests may enjoy watching the action in the kitchen while enjoying a meal at the chef's Food Bar.

Staying in Arts District / Warehouse District

Neighborhood Profile
Arts District / Warehouse District
Once a thriving industrial zone, today this district is home to a buzzing arts scene with an amazing assortment of galleries, boutiques, and studios having moved in and set up shop throughout the disused warehouses for which the area is so well known. Much of the art you'll come across here is local in scope, ownership and inspiration. However, among the many old brick warehouses are modern structures of steel and glass housing large-scale cultural institutions of national prominence such as the National World War II Museum, the Contemporary Arts Center, and the Ogden Museum of Southern Art. Just as eye catching as what’s on view inside the galleries and museums is the chance to see your ship come in at the Julia Street Cruise Terminal, which serves as a wistful reminder of the city’s historic maritime prominence.
