I'm speechless. A restaurant experience I will remember for years to come. Ask about touring their kitchen. A special thanks to Sam, Colin, and Katie. Thank you for making my birthday so special.

This was the second year in a row that the four of us came to New Orleans for Restaurant week. R’evolution was our favorite last year and again this year. Two of our party did the set menu and two of us ordered off the main menu. The restaurant was full during our visit but the service was superior and... More

This was my second visit to Restaurant R'evolution and it did not disappoint. When you step in you are surprised to find a quiet courtyard when the craziness on Bourbon street is just steps away! We dined as a group of 8 and all of us enjoyed our meals - the Death by Gumbo was delicious again, everyone enjoyed their... More

After having such a memorable experience here in July 2015, I could not stop thinking about this restaurant. I talked about it, recommended it and even wrote about it in our Christmas letter. When we started talking about vacation for 2016, I said I wanted to go to Restaurant R'evolution. So we were going to New Orleans. Quite impressed when... More

Service was great. Eggplant lasagna was different but good. Loved the suprise box of candies at the end. Very extensive wine list.

Good not great! For the price, many superior options in NOLA. We are locals who keep trying, but are not impressed. We started with the oyster salad and beet salad they were both great, but no better than Paladar and twice the price. Had the terrine of foie gras, this was delicious,as expected at this price point, from a Cajun/creole... More

Fantastic environment with spacious spaces and nicely decorated. The best part is the extremely friendly and helpful staff at all levels. Service was impeccable. The food is excellent with a varied menu. This is not a place for simple meals (hence my 4 stars). All meals are high end cuisine with exotic preparation, sauces, etc. Even gumbo, turtle soup, shrimp... More

Serving Lunch on Fridays, Dinner nightly and Sunday Jazz Brunch. Restaurant R'evolution is the first joint venture of award-winning Chefs John Folse and Rick Tramonto offering modern, imaginative reinterpretations of classic Cajun and Creole cuisine. Steeped in the diverse historic and cultural influences of Louisiana, the menu features not only the chefs' interpretations of New Orleans classics such as gumbo, po' boys, and beignets, but also new creations highlighting ingredients from what Chef Folse refers to as "the swamp floor pantry." Tableside service components play an important role in the dining experience, promoting guest engagement about the history and evolution of the food they are enjoying.Soups such as Creole Louisiana Snapping Turtle Soup and Death by Gumbo play on unusual presentations of these traditional dishes that date back centuries. Desserts showcase classical New Orleans sweets done in a new and contemporary way.

Staying in French Quarter

Neighborhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
