We stopped in for a taste of gelato as part of a walking tour of the French Quarter. I chose to try the King Cake gelato, and it was fabulous. I'd have gone back for a full serving if we hadn't already had a full...More

Good service. Excellent Gelato. The atmosphere was a bit subdued; almost as if it didn't matter to them if they were busy or not. It's next to Johnny's Po-boy where the line was out-the-door. There wasn't a soul in the Sweet Palate. They weren't "working...More

Gelato was outstanding, the chocolates are amazing. I never knew this place existed but have their card now and they will be a new "favorite" stop when in New Orleans. I gave some as a gift and then kept some for myself....one word....chocogasm....

Stopped by for some Gelato after dinner while visiting New Orleans. Was quite delicious! I personally like the small portions especially after a large meal. Will visit again next time we are in New Orleans.

Found this jewel by accident. The gelato was the best I have had outside of Italy! The butter pecan was beyond good but understand they change flavors so you may not get to try this one. The shop was upscale and although I did not...More

Situated in the heart of the French Quarter, "The Sweet Palate" invites you to experience a selection of gourmet confections and desserts: chocolates, gelato (ice cream), biscuits/cookies, dessert cakes, and other sweets/candy. Highlighting the Spanish, French, & European influence of New Orleans, our boutique is the only US retail location where you can find some of the world's best brands, including Oriol Balaguer Chocolates (Spain), Maison Dandoy Biscuits (Belgium), & Christine Ferber Jams (France), all of which make excellent gifts. Come enjoy our Italian inspired traditional Taste Gelato & Sorbetto made on-premises. Relax with an intriguing view of a New Orleans courtyard, while listening to the sounds of the historic steam-boat and horse & carriages trotting by. We look forward to seeing you here in The Big Easy.
