They'll getcha if you're not careful. A draft beer and a double vodka 30.00 bucks with tip. I got a good pour but c'mon. The place is a typical New Orleans bar. Nothing special but it's ok. Be careful what you order.

Grabbed an Old Fashioned and was out the door to wait in line for the Preservation Hall performance across the street. Made appropriately.
In New Orleans it is legal to drink alcoholic beverages outside provided they are in a to-go cup (not bottles).

I think we were the only people in the bar at the time and we enjoyed a quiet drink away from the mayhem of Bourbon Street. There was a good range of drinks and I think that it would be a lot busier later in the day!

This is a very cool bar, slightly off the beaten track.
We sat in the courtyard at the back supping IPA and Amber ale.
Very friendly, great music too.
Marijuana smoking prohibited apparently, though not sure that everyone got the memo!

This bar saved our vacation! Right across from Pat O'Briens. Friendly with great food and good prices for NOLA. Went everyday once we found it. You won't be disappointed!

Long story short - abusive bartender decided to pick on us from the second we walked in - I have worked in bars and restaurants for the last 10 years and never seen such a bully
Came in here to wait for a tour to start and started walking to find a seat, we were then shouted out by a bartender for not showing our IDs ( we thought we had to show it as we bought a drink as no one was at the door checking for IDs) then when we gave him our IDs he started pulling faces and bending our IDs . He started asking us what the numbers on our IDs were (they were driving licence numbers ) and we tried to show him and he said that he’s not dumb he knows what dates are. He continued to almost break our IDs by bending them and continued to be extremely rude making sarcastic comments . I’d just like to state that before people think we are drunks or Karen’s, I’d give some background info. I am a restaurant manager and have been for years I’m 27 years old and my sister who was with me was 37 years old and a vet. My sister had one drink that day and I do not drink alcohol . This bartender was just being rude and mean because he was having some sort of sick power trip and when I reached out to the company to explain what a terrible experience we had they didn’t even acknowledge my comment. I have never been so embarrassed and disrespected for doing nothing but entering the bar.
Just to state we went in there a few days before and a lady served us and she was lovely and we had no problems and it was lovely. The gentleman who ‘served’ us on this occasion just decided he wanted to take his anger out on an easy target and verbally abuse someone. I get really nervous around lots of people and suffer with anxiety, I was so embarrassed I ended up crying in the pat o briens bathroom and it completely ruined my night. I really hope that they see this comment and speak to him about his behaviour and also maybe teach him about international IDs as he obviously thought our IDs were fake the way he kept bending them - I tried to show him the holograph but he pulled away with my ID like a bully with a kids toy

If your looking for a place that feels like a dive but isn't, this is great. Also if you are about to take one of the tours through the city that leaves out of Rev Zombie totally take advantage of the 2 for 1 special.

After our ghost tour we visited for their "buy-one-get-one Hurricane" deal. We sat at the bar and it took a while to get waited on, but they were busy since many on our tour were also there for the Hurricanes. The bartender was nice when he finally got to us. The Hurricanes we received were NOT Hurricanes, not even close. They were pale yellow (vs. red) and tasted like coconut and rum. More like a Pina Colada. BLECH!

It was nice to get away from Bourbon and southern foods for some typical irsh bar food. The finn dip is a french dip stacked with meat. Service was great. Cheapest drinks in the French Quarter.
Worst bathrooms I encountered though. In the womens room sewage was coming up from the drain and or was leaking out of the toilet. So you literally stood in pee and poo.

Fin Evans is a fun gathering spot for drinks or a quick bite to eat before a show at Preservation Hall or afternoon day drinking!

French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
