Our group of seven decided to have dinner here before doing a haunted New Orleans tour to set get into the spirit of things. Although they didn’t couldn’t immediately fit us in, they took our number & promised to give us a call as soon...as a large table became available. We wandered around the area for a bit and got the call about 30 minutes later that our table was ready. Our server, Jasmine, was amazing and truly made us feel welcomed. We ordered 2 servings of blackened alligator to share around the table and it was absolutely delicious. Some of the dishes we ordered; seafood gumbo, shrimp & grits,, Dracula burger. Everything was expertly prepared-some of the best food we had during our week in NOLA. The Dec or was fun - gorgeous old looking crystal chandeliers, blood-red napkins folded to look l either like fangs or bats, wrought iron arches placed along the upper walls. It all gave the feeling of being in a vampire’s private salon. Well-prepared food, excellent service, and a really nice atmosphere really made our experience great-would certainly eat there again!More

Came here with 3 kids who have been eagerly awaiting a blood bag drink since I saw it online while researching restaurants! We were seated promptly but were so disheartened when our waitress said they ran out of non-alcoholic blood bags. My kids were crushed....Ordered food, and the food is actually very good here! It’s not just some cliche touristy restaurant, food is good. About 5 min into our meal the waitress came out with 3 kids blood bags! She said the people who make them ran over with some more at her request, so thank you for that! You had 3 very happy kids after that. Highly recommend! I left off 1 star only because I do feel it is highly priced.More

So don't be discouraged too easily if when you walking and not seated immediately. We stood at hostess stand for 5 minutes being ignored but a waitress who was working her first day explained the hostess left for an errand. She got us seated though...so I loved her. Sadly she wasn't our waitress but our waitress was pretty nice. Only thing was we wanted the fried deviled eggs and was told they were out, but I'm 98% positive I saw another table get them as we were about to leave. But I loved the vibe and atmosphere in there. Wanted to try the blood bag drinks but another time.More

The restaurant was clearly out of sorts. We kept having the wrong food delivered to our table and the whole operation was chaotic. Our server (Richard S) was always busy having side conversations and not being attentive. We had to find him to get our...bill and I had to find him to pay our bill. The restaurant was to crowded for the staff and they couldn’t keep up. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting New Orleans. It’s just disappointing to say the least.More

I was so excited to visit the Vampire Cafe however the service was not that great. We waited over 10 minutes after being seated to get a waitress and when she came over she acted like we were bothering her. However the food was amazing...we had the fried deviled eggs and the gumbo. B- was an amazing drink I actually came back a second time to get one to go and the bartender who delivered our drinks was so friendly and stayed to talk to us for awhile.More

Loved this spot! Cute restaurant. Such a fun theme, but not heavy handed. My sister and I had the citrus salad, shrimp and grits and pear Bellinis. All of it was absolutely delicious, especially the shrimp and grits. The grits were the best I’ve ever...had and the shrimp was sweet, flavorful and tender. My sister said it was her favorite dish of our whole trip and that’s saying something in such a great foodie town as New Orleans. We sat at the bar and received wonderful and friendly service from the bartenders. We will definitely return when next in NOLA!More

Whenever we went to this restaurant we envisioned a somewhat tack concept of a themed restaurant but were pleasantly surprised. The blood bags are delicious along with some amazing food choices. We had the Dracula and Vampire burgers and they were delicious definitely a must-stop...when visiting New Orleans. Prices weren't extreme and the food matched the price point. The staff offered some great options for things to do in New Orleans along with some other restaurants to try. We will be going back if we ever decide to go back to the Big Easy.More

Went here for the blood bag drinks, which were fun and tasty. We also had dinner, we ordered burgers and the alligator poorboy, all were very tasty. The only draw back was the service, our waitress took some time to get to our table and...was not very attentive. The place was not full when we went, so that was disappointing. The concept is fun, and inspire of the service, the food was good and I would recommend.More

The food ambiance was good and the food was great. The wait staff was having fun and maybe a little too much. Their main focus was on cutting up and entertaining each other rather than serving the customers. Now, the did serve us and we...didn’t really have to wait for much but it seemed obligatory as it was don’t while looking back at their friends and laughing. Really, try to look busy even if you don’t have a lot to do. It was a good evening out but we probably won’t go back.More

The day I arrived in New Orleans, I step in here for a bite to eat. Mostly because the blood bags sounded amazing. Instead I got an O-. Still amazing and delicious. Food wise I ordered the Heirloom salad even though not your standard it...hit the spot on that very hot day. Our waitress and the whole staff was great and it was just a nice environment to be around. After lunch, we step into the shop next door and it’s small but nice.More
