...which I'm not, you'll find plenty to like about this brew pub. The food has a sort of Vietnamese/Cajun spin, unexpected in a setting where one might expect just sliders and French fries. Try the crawfish etoufee nachos (yes, etoufee over fried wonton skins)--they're delicious!...My spring rolls were very good too.More

The Bywater Brew Pub is one of newer breweries in New Orleans! They are off to a great start. The food is unique and delicious. The beer is outstanding. I tried all five of their brewed creations and was not disappointed with any of them....The facility is cool and inviting! The Bywater Brew Pub is a neighborhood joint so parking can be a bit challenging. It is a nice walk from the Quarter if you travel in a group. I will be back!More

We were walking down Royal Street with our final destination being The Joint when we passed this place. The food looked and smelled amazing but it was not on my list. Well, we got to The Joint and they were closed (even though their website...said they were open). We looked at each other and said, "Remember that place we passed were the food looked and smelled amazing? Oh, and they have craft beer!" So we headed back and I call this divine intervention. The food and beer here are amazing!!!! The owner (I'm assuming he was the owner. He is either that or the manager) stopped by our table and we had a great conversation. He said they have only been open since November 2020 (great time to open a joint :-) ), Do yourself a favor and eat and drink here!!! We had the Grilled Lemongrass Pork Belly Wraps and the Vietnamese Crawfish Etouffee Nachos, both were delicious. I think my tastebuds orgasmed. If you're a beer drinker, I highly recommend the Better Daze Ahead.More

Friday lunch: flight of beer accompanied by an AMAZING crawfish wonton nacho-style appetizer -YUM! Crawfish sauce was perfect (tasted just like Mom's). Server was most helpful - think her name was Diara. Restaurant was clean, Covid-safe. Loved it and will be back.

Dinner was wonderful! Our server, Nora, was nice, attentive and spot-on with her recommendations. I asked her what her favorite dishes were, and she of course, said that everything is great, but she particularly liked "The Phoritto" and the "Cajun Fried Rice". Both descriptions sounded...good, so we got them both and shared. Both were so different and so tasty. They were both so good that I can't even tell you which one I liked better. The Phoritto had a "pho broth gravy" for dipping that had a spicy zip to it. The Cajun Fried Rice was a great combination of so many different flavors; I liked every single part of it, but I think the sausage might've been my favorite part. We didn't really need any more food, but the Beer Beignet Bites sounded so awesome that we decided to go for it. The chef brought them out to us herself, and they were so hot and fresh and delicious! They're served with a chicory coffee dip, and OMG was that ever good! And they really are teeny little beignets, with each one being bite-sized, so it was just the right amount of indulgence. The owner was making the rounds to all of the tables to see if we were enjoying everything. It's always nice to know that someone truly cares about your experience. In fact, it was apparent that every employee was very invested in making it a great experience for the customers. They really take pride in what they're doing, and they have every right to be proud! They're working on brewing their own beer too -- coming soon!More
