Tired of walking, in the heat, with much to do? Stop at Felipe's to get a quick rest, fuel up and go again. Clean, lively, quick, cheap, and nice. One of the better, short stop restaurants that is great for the mid day lunch on the move.

Excellent restaurant at an excellent location near all the major attractions in downtown New Orleans. The food tasted excellent and the staff were friendly and happy to see you in their restaurant. I recommend this as a "must" stop during a stay in New Orleans.

Family of five ... we ate here for lunch. The baja shrimp tacos are one of a kind and for less than 6 bucks, two will fill you up. This mexican food is lighter than the tex mex I am used to in Texas. The atmosphere is relaxed and very family friendly. I will save the expensive restaurants for dinner.

Everything is delicious and cooked fresh to order. Try the nachos or tostada. Topped your way with lots of fresh ingredients.

One of the best reasons to visit New Orleans is to sample the Cajun and Creole fare, but when you've had enough of that, I recommend Felipe's! The cafeteria style (think Chipolte) ordering system is not as bad as I thought it would be. It's NOLA! Folks are chatting in line and it moves quickly. The food is so fresh... More

I had a taco and tostada. You can get a bunch of sauces from the condiment bar, which is fun and real lime wedges. We had the margaritas, which were good quality and not sugary.

My hubby and I always stop at Felipes when visiting NOLA. I prefer the vegie quesadillas and my husband enjoys the steak tacos. Reasonable prices but they add extra for quac and cheese. The frozen margaritas are excellent. Usually daily drink specials. Food is made to order and you can pick your toppings. Love the chips and guac. Nice bar... More

The food was ok but menu hard to follow and service was lining up and subway style preparation with plastic cutlery .. And Not cheap... Bar service was appalling and wine was over priced... Wouldn't recommend

We ate here a couple of times for lunch and we sure get our orders of Drinks here every year. Their Margaritas have a good punch. Frequent spot, with reasonable prices!! Keeps a nice crowd all the time.

Staying in French Quarter

Neighborhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
