What an awesome stop to grab a drink and relax. I did spot the cheese platter being enjoyed by another customer and regret not trying it. Very classy bar, laid back and relaxing break from the Bourbon Street crowd.

It was a coincident walking into this how would I describe: charming, fun, characterize, European style bar for the first night in New Orleans. That started the next 5 days back to back visit and befriends with the owner Patrick. Having been a Champagne drinker for over decades, the champagne list was impressive and very very reasonable comparing to back... More

Nice place to relax with a glass of wine before/after dinner. I loved the outdoor seating (when there weren't smokers)!

Patrick's bar Vin was a great experience while being in New Orleans. Dre was absolutely amazing and extremely helpful in picking out wine. She is very knowledgeable and friendly. Will definitely return.

Great place for a nightcap, Extensive list of wines, A little quiet for our taste, but good to stop for a port on our way back to the hotel.

I found this place just in time last night. The noise of Bourbon Street was starting to get to me. I wanted some quite, I wanted to be able to sit down comfortably and I wanted a good drink. This place had it all. The bartender Dre was knowledgeable and was able to help me find the perfect wine. She... More

We were there on a rainy night, so the outdoor space was not being used. Bar was very crowded. Drinks were good, bartender (Dre?) was excellent.

Vsited it during our stay at Hotel Mazarin. We got two free drinks for our stay. You could use them at this bar or the 21 Amendment bar. Bar Vin was the quiet bar with no entertainment. They always have the $5 a glass of wine special. Worth a visit for good drinks and a relaxed evening.

This bar is located just off the courtyard at the hotel Mazerin. Small and quaint, great selection of wines. You order yourself at bar, has a small area inside/outside seating. Expensive.

Staying in French Quarter

Neighborhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
