Ok, first up, let me admit I wasn’t appreciating New Orleans. Instead of fantastic music and a chill scene I was just finding it a tourist trap, with people there for nothing more than to get drunk. I was so disappointed. And then a friend...More

My husband and I love this place! We are not typical of those Bacchanal caters to but they let us in anyway! We have a serious passion for wine and they have lots of it and very informal tastings a couple times a week. It...More

After hearing about this sport from friends and even our Air BnB host, we decided to make the trek! We stopped in late on a Sunday night, hoping that it would not be so busy, but we were wrong! No matter the night, Bacchanal is...More

Don't be fooled by the exterior and desolate area when you arrive. It's a wine shop with a large garden round the back where you can enjoy your bottle with some jazz all afternoon. really enjoyed the vibe away from the tourist spots in French...More

This is such a fantastic place, pick your wine and if you want some food, go to the fridge and pick some cheeses, pay for it, take your uncorked bottle pick up glasses on your way to the back where a big terrace awaits you...More

LOVE this place! Great ambiance, killer music and great menu for food and cocktails! Couldn't ask for more! I could have done without the resident possum, but everything else was so great, had a great evening!

Nice neighborhood watering hole with an extremely wide selection of wine located in the Bywater. Open air seating, no reservations, live music and a varied selection of small plates. We’ve been told that it gets very crowded on weekends. If you’re looking to just sit...More

Where else can you pick up a bottle of wine, grab a plastic bucket & fill it with ice, find a table under a tree, and listen to live music — all before you go over and order small plates like smoked catfish dip and...More

I agree. You can buy a reasonably priced bottle of wine and get an appetizer or two and it will be an inexpensive day out. With entertainment. We were ten women so our bill was higher and we had drinks and dinner.

No reservations, but it's worth the wait! My recommendation is to go early. We were there at 6pm on a Saturday and found a table fairly quickly. Was great to see it in the daylight and at dark.
