Awesome lunch for us today. We had stuffed shrimp which were incredible. The dipping sauce was so tasty and offered a great twist to the shrimp. My husband had the fried pork chop along with jambalaya and red beans, The portions were large and very...well priced. Great local taste. We wish we lived closer so that we could enjoy it more often.More

Nothing extraordinary, great breakfast place if you are out of town, reliable. I wouldn't say it stood out. Typical breakfast fare you can get anywhere -

Sandwiches and plate food is excellent. Nothing fancy. But very filling. Nice portions. Friendly atmosphere. Been eating here for about 20 years. Never had a bad meal. I try to go here every time I'm in town.

This is a neighborhood restaurant that is true to the taste of New Orleans. We had the special of the day, Sriracha Shrimp Po Boy. I would definitely get it again! Fun ambience right off the freeway, so it was easy to get to.

Great spot for breakfast and lunch/dinner. Great food and generous portions! I love their po boys and the fried chicken is very good too! I’ve never had a bad meal here. I highly recommend. They close early during the week so get there early.

I have driven past this place so many times, and did not realize that it's a restaurant. I thought it was a corner store type place with a "deli." I'm glad that I read a review about this establishment. It's quite large inside, which is...necessary as it will full of people. There is a walk up counter where you order your food and then you can sit, if desired. It's quite clean for a hole-in-the wall New Orleans style. The shrimp po-boy was quite good... not the best but I would eat it again. The red beans and rice needed more heat for me. And the biscuit was good... not the best however. I would go back to Sammy's for the po-boy. Plus there were other dishes that I would like to try. Typical New Orleans hole-in-the-wall joint. Gotta love it!More

Went here on a Thursday afternoon for lunch, to go. I got a 6 inch Ray Ray and my wife ordered the Roast Beef. Both poboys were excellent. Even the fries stayed good after sitting in a bag for 10 minutes. I also got a...side of greens...perfectly cooked. A bit out of the way, but worth the trip. I will definitely be back.More
