We tried to go to Ruby Slipper for breakfast but the wait was too long (we went there the next day and I was disappointed), so the concierge suggested this place nearby and it was fine. It was a buffet with eggs, toast, meats, fruit, smoked salmon, cheeses, grits, biscuits and gravy and some other items. It is nothing fancy... More

We stayed at the hotel across the street where no hot food was served. So we came over to the Dress It restaurant OMG the buffet looked horrified, and the menu selection was very limited. Never go there!!!

We stayed at the attached hotel and ate at the restaurant for breakfast and lunch. The food was good. Everything on the breakfast buffet was fresh and top notch quality. We ate lunch there once and found the same to be true. The staff was friendly. The attached bar is VERY small, maybe 6 stools, but had a good happy... More

I had free breakfast here as an Omni Select guest. Food was average. Bakery items, grits, biscuits, gravy, bacon, sausage, pancakes. I would not have been happy if I paid the quoted rate of 15.95. Another minor thing -the restaurant doesn't open until 7 am, so you're out of luck if you have an early flight or business meeting.

We stumbled across this as it was opposite our hotel on Camp Street. The staff was great. The manager came around to each table yo chat. Our breakfast was perfect.

This restaurant was in the hotel I stayed in. One evening, I decided to order a burger and take it to my room. Not a great idea. If you do a hamburger restaurant, then you better make sure your burgers are FANTASTIC. My burger was dry, the bun was old and the fries were tasteless.

The Concierge at our resort recommended Dress-it because it was just up the street. The restaurant is located in the Omni Royal Crescent Hotel. Daily specials are displayed on a chalk board on the wall. The actual menus are squares of paper and a pencil. You select an entrée, The next category would be sides, or upgrade items, beverages and... More

It was raining so we needed to find a restaurant near Wyndham. Using Trip Advisor we found Dress It. Ordering hamburgers was fun, I love that Brie cheese was offered. No one had complaints about their meals. I also ordered cheese grits with corn. If I had known how good they were going to be I would have skipped the... More

Loved this little place! Gourmet burgers dressed just how you like. There's more than jambalaya in New Orleans :) Price is VERY reasonable.

Just a nice little burger type restaurant. They also had poboys, and I had the fried oyster salad which was very nice. Not a destination restaurant, but if you are staying in Omni or nearby and need just a quick easy meal it's ok

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
