Came here for brunch, I think they had just opened recently when we came. We were the only group in the restaurant on a Saturday morning but I'm sure the word has gotten out by now. This place is really good. It is a solid brunch and they have bottomless mimosas (which no brunch is complete without). Also, truffle mac... More

Amazing burgers, very quiet (when we went), wonderfully friendly server who gave us recommendations of other stuff around town. Convenient to those staying in Warehouse District who are tired of walking to French Quarter!

In downtown but on a lesser traveled street. Great food and atmosphere. First off, get the fried red beans balls with green chile aioli and Louisiana hot sauce reduction. A unique, gourmet twist on a Louisiana staple. We could have eaten 20 a piece. Secondly, we had Truffle Mac N Cheese with prosciutto and peas in it. Can't go wrong... More

Stopped here after a day of sightseeing and loved our diner. Both the Capdeville burger and the Mac and cheese were excellent.

My family of four visited for a fairly late dinner. The restaurant was empty and it looked like it catered to the lunch crowd in the Central Business District it's located in. The truffle mac and cheese was outstanding, as was a burger that came with a fried egg on it. Very good pub food.

The fish that came with the chips looked beautiful and appetizing. It was, however, UNCOOKED, sent back, and replaced with an ENORMOUS burger and fries of decent quality. Observations of note included a wait staff displaying the latest in nose, ear and related facial iron works/piercings, and tatoos. Members of our party forgot to bring along baseball caps to wear... A welcoming place with fun cocktails and a great bourborn list. The food is innovative, inexpensive for the area, and just damn tasty. I recommend the truffle mac & cheese and fish tacos.

We made the 20 minute walk here over rainy streets and were not disappointed. Great relaxed feel, comfortable, unhurried. Exactly the right place to come in out of the rain to spend an afternoon. And the food did not disappoint. Shrimp Po boy could easily feed 2. Best Mac and cheese ever. Duck wonton. Grilled cheese with bacon on whole... More

Great bar and restaurant near Poydras that offers late night cuisine and a really laid back atmosphere. Upscale bar food like truffled mac n cheese, poutine fries, gourmet burgers, steak frites, and fried red beans and rice. Also has a whiskey bar, which is really unique.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
