We recently went to Domenica for an anniversary dinner. First and foremost, the staff are attentive and friendly. The decor in the restaurant is clean and posh. The also have a more laid back version of this spot, called Pizza Domenica on Magazine Street. We...More

I went with my family and we didn't had a reservation so we came back a few days after that (be sure to make a reservation if you don't want to wait 45min or more) the restaurant is always full so be prepared. We ordered...More

Excellent thin crust pizza (but not as good as SI). We got it to go and ate at the Roosevelt pool! We needed a break from the creole sauces. $17.95 for a brick oven pie with meat and a country egg- loved the poached egg!

We ordered the lasagna. The pasta was under cooked and the sauce did not have as much meat as we would have expected in a Bolognesa. We do like our pasta al dente, but this one was just too hard. The service was average. I...More

My husband and I dropped in for a quick lunch; we shared a pizza and it was fabulous. All fresh ingredients and great atmosphere.

Went to Domenica on a whim on our last night in NOLA. We wanted good pizza and had passed by here previously. This is an upscale-ish restaurant. You don't have to be in your best clothes, but probably not a tank top and baseball hat....More

This was the worst meal I have had in 40 years of visiting New Orleans. The wine left an acid after taste, the pizza was rubbery and the pasta looked like something that should have been thrown out.

Overrated and NOT worth the money. Food mediocre. Service really bad. Even at the bar. Prices high. Just go some where else.

After a giant fried chicken lunch at Willie Mae's we needed something on the lighter side. Received a rec from a nice local sitting next to us at Mr B's bar. We had an excellent octopus carpaccio which was refreshing as well as a roasted...More

Jordan was an excellent server. Very attentive to our needs making numerous visits to make sure we had everything or needed other things. Clam pie totally awesome. Polenta and risotto also very tasty

Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other
parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title
might suggest that this area is all about business and
little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you
away from the Central Business District. The CBD
offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be
touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the
world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts

Come as you are. I didn't observe any particular dress code, however I felt really comfortable there in jeans a nice top and a fedora. Hope this helps!

Description
Domenica is a contemporary and inviting Italian restaurant that creates regional Italian dishes with southern and middle eastern influences. The cuisine combines Chef Alon Shaya's Israeli heritage and love of local ingredients with a menu that reflects his time spent cooking and living in the small towns of northern Italy.
