We went to Domenica again as it has been a while. The menu was noticeably reduced. A salad I loved is no longer offered. But the rabbit and porcini ragu pasta is as delicious as ever. Wish my serving had been half again as big. Domenica might be a better place for lunch when your appetite is not quite as... More

Hands down the best Lasagna Bolognese I have EVER had. Absolutely delicious with and amazing texture and incredible flavor. I would go back in a heartbeat. The staff was friendly and welcoming and the service was top notch. Overall, one of the highlights of our trip to NOLA.

Our über driver recommended that we try the happy hour at Domenica and we were not disappointed. We went every afternoon we were in New Orleans and tried several different appetizers, pizzas and cocktails and all were fantastic. The staff and bartenders were pleasant and we will definitely return.

the pizza and pastas are house made to perfection, moderate prices, great bar, the setting is loud enough to bring kids (or older people), might as well walk through the Roosevelt Hotel while you are there and stroll the lobby and maybe grab a night cap or two

I stopped in during a recent business trip and sat at the bar for happy hour. Half price pizzas, wine and beer. After a week of southern and creole food, I needed a break and decided on pizza. I had the prosciutto and arugula pizza and a couple of great craft beers. The pizza was excellent and the staff was... More

We only tried the cauliflower and feta and it was very good. The margarita pizza was our main course and it was decent. I've had better via street vendors. The crust was a bit gooey. The service was very good and the atmosphere is worth a visit.

Food was great. We had the rabbit tagliatelle which was fabulous and then shared a seafood entree. Service was attentive. We were there early Thursday evening and it was packed. Make reservations.

Thank Lee M

Domenica is a contemporary and inviting Italian restaurant that creates regional Italian dishes with southern and middle eastern influences. The cuisine combines Chef Alon Shaya's Israeli heritage and love of local ingredients with a menu that reflects his time spent cooking and living in the small towns of northern Italy.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
