Night out for wife and I. Choose this spot as we have been in Atlanta and SF. Did not disappoint at all. She had the burger and I had rotisserie chicken. Both very good. Server Nga was fantastic. Made it even better experience. Solid place...and a sold chain that do things consistently great.More

Have enjoyed Houston’s for many years in Metairie and Atlanta. When greeted at the door was told I would have to take off my hat and not use my cellphone quote rudely. Is this a restaurant or behavioral business? Once seated I saw several people...wearing hats! Why was I targeted? Ordered Hawaiian steak and baked potato and was told they were out of potatoes! Ordered hot bacon salad dressing and was told they no longer carry it. Was a very unpleasant experience for a $150.00 meal. Will never go to Houston’s again!!!!!!More

So I came in to order my usual...the spinach dip, the kale side salad, and the 5-nut brownie. But the only thing different was I had to order it to-go, because of this darn Coronavirus madness. In any event, I ate my spinach dip and...kale salad as soon as I arrived home, and they were delicious, as per usual. As for my brownie, I didn't get to it until a few days later, and when I bit into it, I immediately noticed a wet squishy texture, with a slightly tart flavor. It was GROSS! I mean really GROSS!! So, I immediately called Houston's Restaurant and asked to speak with a manager to ask them when did they start adding raisins to my beloved brownie. Sruti, the manager on duty, came to the phone. I expressed my EXTREME DISPLEASURE with the brownie. Sruti explained that it was cherries, not raisins, that were added to the recipe, about one month ago. She also admitted that many customers had also complained about the new addition to the recipe. Now, this is where I think Houston's (or should I say Ms. Sruti) completely dropped the ball with customer service. I told her I hated the brownie. She admitted that many other customers also hated the new brownie. BUT, since I did not call the "same day" that I picked up my order, there was absolutely nothing that she could do for me. No gift card. No free dessert on my next visit. Nothing. So, I just spent $10 for a dessert, that will be thrown in the garbage can. As a long time customer of Houston's, I am very disappointed with the way I was handled. BTW, I've been coming to this location since 1990. But after this incident, it will be a very long time before I visit the restaurant again. So, again, DINER'S BEWARE. If you are a fan of the original brownie recipe. Do NOT order the brownie. And do NOT ask for Sruti to help get your dining experience back on track. You will be sorely disappointed. Shame on Houston's, you should train your Managers to treat your customers better.More

We had high expectations since we ate here on our first night in New Orleans and Houston's did not disappoint. It was a little pricey, but worth every penny. Great food and atmosphere. Loved the live music. The place was a little dark inside, but...it only added to the jazzy ambiance.More

Classic New Orleans flavor with great service! The staff is very inviting and the steaks are the BOMB! The crab cakes are authentic with lump crabmeat and the baked potatoes are prepared to a science. But it’s the dessert that will bring you back for...more... Warm pecan pie a la mode will call you long after you have left the restaurant. Yummmmm!More

I live in Nashville and am very familiar with the Houstons here.New Orleans is no exception.Atmosphere and service are impeccable.Did not give 5 stars since the soup was served cold. Was replaced of course, but a little disappointed to get cold food in a place of this...magnitude.Also no real remorse or apology for the error.Would have expected a little more concern on their part.More

Husband and I arrived to hotel and were looking for dinner. Houstons smelled wonderful and so we stopped in, only to be told that they were not taking walk ins except in the bar. Tyray, however, is the type os person everyone wants running their...business. He was smooth and professional. After we misunderstood the hostess's instructions, he set about to get us a table and, as it turned out, a wonderful evening. The crab cake was the BEST I've ever had. Just huge fat pieces of crab in a breaded coating. No filler....all crab. The Hawaiian steak was also amazing. Sweet but not ovwrwhelming, cooked to perfection. So glad we stumbled in and Tyray took us in!!More

Fantastic. Succulent food. Live jazz. Eat well and enjoy NOLA smooth instrumental jazz in the garden district. Salmon was perfect. They forgot the appetizer and brought it at no charge. Classy.

Nice food! Lovely live music! NO FOOD FOR CHILDREN ANYMORE! Chicken fingers &/or Mac/cheese would be easy fixes!

Not that I know of. I've worn shorts many times to Houston's. Most people are dressed nice but never really felt unwelcome in shorts.
