We went for Christmas Day dinner. Some of the food was wonderful, some was just ok and some was inedible. I had the special Christmas meal of turkey, dressing, sweet potato etc. The turkey was fried which in my experience means so tender it falls...off the bone. This one was so hard and dried out I couldn't even cut it. I told the waiter and he came back with one slice replacement which was better but not great. The first serving should have never left the kitchen and to only bring back one slice with no apology seemed a little cheap. On the other hand, my partner got the salmon over jambalaya which was excellent, wonderfully spiced and perfectly cooked. Service was good, but rushed. We only picked this place because it was open on Christmas and I doubt I'd go back with so many other great New Orleans restaurants to choose instead.More

We stopped into Curio for a quick lunch as it was very close to our hotel (Hotel Monteleone). It is very charming, and the staff was nice. Cocktails were delicious. I didn't care for how the blue crab appetizer was prepared but I will say...it's a creative idea lots of people seemed to order. The crab cakes were delicious but the fried green tomatoes with shrimp were the absolute highlight. I noticed there were a lot of crab shell pieces in both the appetizer and crab cakes. I know this is sort of a culunary thing you just have to deal with sometimes with crab dishes but I will say it seemed like I was pulling hard pieces out of my mouth quite often and it sort of took me out of the meal.More
