Had a tasty boudin grilled cheese with housemade pepper jelly and it was amazing. Service is great and although the place is small they have great service and food.

We both got their "Burnt ends chili fries", came with no actual meat. The frozen hurricane was good, though

Discovered Bourre last week- we can walk from our sons apt. nearby- thought it was a cute outdoor beer garden/venue for local musicians- which it is. We ordered a couple of beers and enjoyed the music. Our mistake was in looking up their menu online, thinking it sounded delicious and going back for dinner last night. It. Was. Awful. 51$ for two cans of Catahoula beer, one “New Orleans BBQ Shrimp Po’Boy” which was in NO WAY New Orleans BBQ shrimp- but was instead 6small shrimp, which were good, no sauce or anything, on a semi toasted small roll- for 14$ ( I believe), one brisket sandwich for 12$ - so full of mushy fat both my son and I had to spit a bunch out- the meat that was left - about two pieces maybe the size of a 50 cent piece ( again on a small, think 5 inch section of hoagie roll), was dry and almost bereft of any sauce, and one unfortunate order of their “fried Brussels sprouts with homemade bacon and vinegarette sauce. Sounds delicious right? We opened our styrofoam box to a black, black box of charred leaves. There was one small little piece of bacon ( which was tasty) and a nice vinaigrette over the char. Seriously- for those of you who love Brussels sprouts like we do there was so much potential for this dish- that was lost in the blackened mess of charred leaves.:(- I think we came upon two actual Brussels sprouts, the rest was charred leaves- maybe good after a full night of drinking in the Quarter and you’re desperate for hot food? We came to the conclusion that there was a reason no one else had food at their tables- This is a cute location for a beer or daiquiri before heading out to a real restaurant. You might hear some fun music. But we wouldn’t trust any of the menus you see online- the food was “sub par” to be kind. ( And I’m being super kind here- there’s too much good food in this area now to be wasting your hard earned bucks at Bouree!

It was nice to eat at a down-home restaurant away from the downtown French Quarter. Place is small. The day we were there, the staff was helpful and courteous. The menu is varied and has something for just about everyone. Food was tasty. If want speak, you can order spicy cajun. I thought the food we ordered was freshly prepared and it was good. Burnt end chili cheese fries are very good. Brisket was a good choice, also. I had a great experience at the Bourree. Of course, i wasn't looking for white table clothes and fine china. I understand weekends are a real experience with live music. Very convenient for the trolley back to the Riverfront and French Quarter.

There isn't one thing on the menu that isn't delicious. I have tried every flavor of wings, appetizers and sides. My faves are their gratons (there are pieces of heaven in a small cardboard container), beef fat fried fries, hot sausage meat pies and boudin. Daiquiris are unique, but lack a punch.

Service is horrible and not very friendly. Too many restaurants to eat at in New Orleans and this place can't even greet you with a smile! They waited until our food came out to let us know that they didn't have all our order. They didn't have the cracklin we ordered. It would have been fine if the rest of the food actually tasted good. I got the Lemongrass wings and my husband got the bbq shrimp poboy. The wings are soggy, tough and bland. The shrimp very spicy. Will not return

My hubby and I went to Bourrée this past Friday night specifically to hear the wonderful jazz singer, Meryl Zimmerman. The great food and fresh fruit dacquiries were a pleasant plus. There are a few stools and tables inside where you order your food and several picnic tables outside which is where the music was. The spicy chicken sandwich was fab and my hubby enjoyed the meat pie. We had so much fun, we went back the next day for the wood smoked bbq for lunch. The smoked chicken was to die for. It came with 2 sides and cornbread. $8! The owner, Jason, I think, was doing the bbq-ing. Very pleasant and welcoming. All in all, a great experience. (Though my hubby and I think the baked beans needed to be sweeter.). Would highly recommend.

I’ve been wanting to try this restaurant. It’s name is the same name as our dog. I wasn’t sure what to expect other than it was smoked meats. I was thinking traditional BBQ. But this place is more like a Cajun smokehouse. They serve apps and sandwiches and meat pies. On The weekends they actually smoke a pig couchon de Lait. They have a nice selection of beer and lots of outdoor seating. We tried a bunch of things. Brisket and pimento cheese po boy, duck confit nachos, chili fries with tips, shrimp boudin and regular boudin and the meat pies. By far, I enjoyed the best pies the most! They were moist inside not just dry meat. They are large and easily shared but you will want it all for yourself. The duck nachos were awesome. I loved the shrimp boudin but not crazy about the regular boudin. My least favorite was the fries, but others with me loved them. All in all this is a great place to sit and have a cold one with friends and snack on the great food.

What an interesting dilemma. I ate at the sister restaurant, Boucherie last night and the service was horrible and food mediocre. Then, you go next door to their outdoor patio. A casual outdoor and indoor restaurant that serves BBQ on Saturdays. Plus they make homemade daiquiris which are amazing. The service is great, staff friendly, and food great. It does not compute! A guitar played while you watched the street cars go by. Amazing food for a reasonable price.

My first experience with bourree was on a Saturday with my family. every Saturday there is bbq starting at 2pm this particular evening also had live music which was plensant blues music. We had the chicken quarter and brisket plates. Chicken was really good, came in a good portion as well. Brisket was good as well, but the portions was small and I wanted more. The staff was extremely hospitable and gave us free samples of the daiquiris on tap. Will visit again on a Tulane football game day in the fall.

Hand made daiquiris from a machine. The best wings in town! Lightly smoked, then fried, tossed in a chef made sauce. Outside dining under the oak trees.

We stopped by here on a couple of occasions and really enjoyed the food. We had a just smoked brisket sandwich for lunch with a cold brew, great! We then returned on a Friday evening and they had live jazz, very good btw and enjoyed smoke grilled oysters on the half shell. For very casual dining I would highly recommend this place, particularly if you are a lover of all things smoked.

We found this totally by accident! We had originally planned on Boucherie however it was closed on Mondays. To our surprise this smokehouse is next door. We had the mango wings, duck confit nachos and grilled shrimp Po Boy. All delicious with special mention to the nachos. We each had a a daiquiri as well which were ok but not fabulous like the lunch. We sat outdoors as it was great weather and visited with other guests who loved the fried chicken poboys. So we will come again and try that as well. Note: they need to improve their bathrooms. Keep them clean folks and do something about the odor. Lunch for us was $36. Not bad considering we had two alcoholic drinks. Would have spent double that next door!
