I went for lunch and experienced good service. The only downside is that there is construction going on so it can get a little noisy. Also, you have to walk around because there is construction next to the restaurant. Besides that, you can sit inside...More

I can't say that I enjoyed anything about this meal. The staff seemed cranky albeit in a crowded dingy place on a hot day I can understand why. The place was crowded but the restaurant was a little on the dingy side. I do not...More

My wife ordered the shrimp pasta and it had more shrimp in it than any other restaurant we've gone to. Was too much food for one person. I ordered Jambalaya and it was fantastic - just a slight "kick" to it. Too much for me...More

We ordered the boiled seafood dinner to share with some very nice beers, Abita Purple Haze and Turbo Dog. Got a little noisy but they also had a live quartet in the corner. Overall an excellent first night helping them celebrate NOLA 300.

This place had great platters. Couldn’t have asked for a better view with a great live band. The Voodoo juice is AMAZING!

Just ate at Poppy's and I wasn't impressed with my food. We ordered the onion straws and they were bland and hard, maybe overcooked or they make them this way. Ordered the shrimp tacos and got 3 tacos with chips and salsa. The shrimp had...More

Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other
parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title
might suggest that this area is all about business and
little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you
away from the Central Business District. The CBD
offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be
touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the
world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts
